He may be preparing for a two-year Mormom mission… But that hasn’t stopped David Archuleta from makin’ sweet music.

The 21-year-old Honduran/Spanish American singer recently released the music video for his latest single “I’ll Never Go,” which was shot in Manila.

It’s the latest release from Archuleta’s fourth studio album Forevermore, a collection of original Filipino classic love songs recorded in English.

“I wouldn’t say that I sound better than the original singers because the singers here are so amazing. But I would hope that I could pay tribute to them with this album,” said Archuleta previously.

Forevermore has been in stores since the spring.

In addition, the former American Idol runner-up is preparing a new album called, BEGIN, for which he’s planning to re-record singles by artists like Christina Aguilera, Sarah McLachlan, Cyndi Lauper and U2.

Along with the cover songs, there is one new song called “Broken” which Archuleta wrote himself.

    We are excited for Davids Mv ING and Forevermore. He made these videos especially for his fans, to give us something to remember him by and for his appreciation for the fans. Thank you David.

    I love the video. That was Valentine’s Day and David recorded two (possibly 3) music videos, did a photoshoot, and then guested at the big holiday concert of Ogie Alcasid and his wife Regina Velasquez. David worked so hard to leave beautiful stuff for his fans before his 2-year church mission. You can find info on his official site of how anyone globally can buy the MP3s of the Forevermore album. And August 7 watch for David’s US album BEGIN., an inspirational album of mostly well known pop songs plus one hymn and one original called Broken. Deseret Book has preorder already, and BEGIN will also me on iTunes and Amazon and Walmart. David worked on stuff for fans through the last day before his mission started. It’s hard to watch David walk out that door in this video but he told us he left a piece of his heart with us and David is never far away from our hearts and minds. BTW he’s DavidArchie on Twitter – his manager has to update for him while he’s on his mission but she includes bits from his mission emails. #DA2014

    I love this video! I do not know a more loved artist than David Archuleta. His fans adore him and I can see why. He is true to himself; his character speaks volumes and his heart is very big. He may be out of the US for a few years but he will never be out of our thoughts. He has given us a part of himself in all the projects he worked on before he left. We are blessed fans to have such a thoughtful artist to admire. Not only do we have these videos from his “Forevermore” album, but we get more new music coming in August with BEGIN. I wonder what he has up his sleeves for us in 2013? There’s no way you can forget about someone like David. His voice is magic!!!
