Pau Cubarsi has picked up a special prize.

The 19-year-old Spanish professional footballer has been awarded the FIFA Young Player Award following the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Cubarsi, who plays as a center back for La Liga club Barcelona and the Spain national team, earned the award after a brilliant campaign with champions Spain.

Cubarsi was an ever-present in the backline for Luis de la Fuente‘s side as they enjoyed a superb tournament, remaining unbeaten throughout and securing a 1-0 win over Argentina in the final.

Spain conceded just one goal throughout the campaign, highlighting what an excellent job they did defensively in the USA, Mexico and Canada.

The final was a good day for Barcelona fans as Cubarsi, Pedri, Dani Olmo, Eric Garcia, Ferran Torres and Lamine Yamal all featured in the final, while Gavi and Joan Garcia were unused substitutes.
