Lovato’s “Cool for the Summer” Heats Up the Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks Chart

There’s plenty of summer lovin’ for Demi Lovato

The 22-year-old part-Mexican American singer/actress heats up the Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks chart (dated July 18) as her latest single “Cool for the Summer” debuts at No. 3.

The seasonal anthem was released through Hollywood Records and Safehouse Records, the label Lovato launched in part with Nick Jonas.

“Cool for the Summer” bows with 834,000 U.S. streams for the week ending July 5, according to Nielsen Music, which helps spark its debut on the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 36.

The song possibly picked up extra attention thanks to Lovato’s performances of the track at several events.

“Cool for the Summer” is the lead single from Lovato’s upcoming fifth album, the follow up to 2013’s Demi, which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200.

Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks is a weekly ranking of the most shared and/or mentioned songs on Twitter in the U.S., ranked by the volume of shares over a seven-day period (Monday to Sunday).
