Bobby Soto is slithering his way to a new role.
The 40-year-old Puerto Rican and Mexican American actor and producer has joined the cast of the Black Label feature thriller Copperhead.
Production on the film kicked off today in Oklahoma City.
Soto, who starred in Flamin’ Hot, appears among a roster of new cast additions that includes Shea Whigham, Jamie Chung, Alejandro Speitzer, Michael Raymond-James and Thad Luckinbill.
The previously announced cast includes Miles Teller, Leila George, Jason Momoa, Tenoch Huerta, Adria Arjona and Kiefer Sutherland.
From director John Swab and screenwriters Chad Feehan and J. Todd Scott, Copperhead is catapulted forward when an undercover drug deal explodes into violence; a veteran detective is forced to team with a young federal agent to unravel the conspiracy within their elite task force.
Copperhead is financed by Black Label Media, which is producing alongside Teller’s Lime Tree Productions and Swab’s Milk Boy.
Soto’s previous credits include A Million Miles Away, The Tax Collector, Dutton Ranch, Law & Order and FBI: International.
