The Lewis track was first introduced by songwriter Rozeeon this week’s episode of NBC’s songwriting competition series Songland. It was originally called “Fighting For Us,” but the show’s panelist/producing partner Ryan Teddersuggested some of the song’s verses be scrapped in lieu of a Spanish rap.

When Rozee presents “Solo Quiero” to Lewis, she took on the chorus duties, while Dominican rapper Tony Cabrerawas brought in to handle the verses.

In the end, Lewis chose Rozee’s “Solo Quiero” from all the songs presented to her, and the single and video were released immediately after the show.

The final track, which features Cali & El Dandee and Magan, shot to the top position on the iTunes Latinochart on Thursday morning after audiences first heard it on Wednesday night’s episode.

After an opening verse from Cali y El Dandee, the “Bleeding Love” songbird takes over for the chorus. “All I want is somebody to love, somebody to love,” Leona belts over Juan’s summery, Latin beats. “All I need is somebody to love, somebody to love.”

Previously Cali & El Dandee’s highest-profile collaborative efforts included tracks with David BisbalSebastian Yatraand Shaggy.
