JD Pardo is still riding high…
FX has picked up a third season of Mayans M.C., starring the 39-year-old Argentine and Salvadoran American actor.
The announcement comes ahead of Tuesday night’s season 2 finale.
Additionally, FX confirmed that co-creator and executive producer Elgin Jameswill serve as showrunner for the series’ third season following the exit last monthof series co-creator Kurt Sutter.
Season 3 is slated to premiere on FX in the fall of 2020.

Sutter has made it clear for a long time the he was handing the reins to James. He told fans at the Season 2 premiere of Mayans M.C.in August that he would take a step back to further allow James and the creative team they built to assert themselves, and he didn’t want a white guy at the helm of a drama about life in a Latino motorcycle club. At the time, Sutter said he wasn’t exiting the Sons of Anarchyspinoff show. That changed last month when Sutter was firedfollowing an internal Disney investigation.
After finishing 2018 as cable’s most-watched new series for the year in adults 18-49, Mayans M.C.returned strong for its second season, currently ranking No. 6 in adults 18-49 among cable scripted series in 2019 and in the Top 10 in all other key demos in Live+7. Mayans M.C.is averaging 4.6 million total viewers per episode across all linear and non-linear platforms.

The series also stars Sarah Bolger, Michael Irby,Carla Baratta, Antonio Jaramillo, Raoul Max Trujillo, Richard Cabral, Danny Pinoand Emilio Rivera.
