Gerardo Celasco has secured the Bishop.

The 44-year-old Salvadoran-American actor has landed a recurring role in Prime Video’s Bishop series as Ricardo Cruz.

The expanding cast also includes Alex Breaux, Ally Ioannides and Steven Yaffee in recurring roles.

From co-creators Little Marvin and Tony Saltzman, Bishop centers on homicide detective Bishop Graves (Joel Kinnaman). Brilliant and battle-scarred, he will put all of his skills to the test in the hunt for an elusive killer targeting San Francisco’s moneyed class. As this increasingly audacious killer develops a devoted following among the city’s powerless, Bishop becomes convinced these murders connect back to the city’s most powerful man, his own father, Lincoln Graves (John Malkovich).

In addition to Kinnaman and Malkovich, the cast also includes Jennifer Jason Leigh, Xavier Samuel, Jordana Brewster, Harry Treadaway, Ulrich Thomsen, Erik Svedberg-Zelman, John Larroquette, Rob Yang, Bronson Pinchot, Ron Lea, Kaniehtiio Horn, Hunter Dillon, Dillon Casey, Brett Donahue, Jorja Cadence, Ishan Davé, Adam J. Harrington and Rick Hoffman.

Little Marvin serves as the showrunner on Bishop, which he and Saltzman executive produce alongside Roy Lee and Vertigo’s Miri Yoon. The project stems from Little Marvin’s overall deal at Amazon MGM Studios. Felicia Fasano is the casting director.

Celasco is best known for his roles in Moneyball, The Waterfront and How to Get Away with Murder.
