It’s a Mad World for Kirstin Maldonado

The 28-year-old Spanish & Mexican American singer and her Pentatonix group mates are shining a spotlight on the “Mad World” we’re living in by sharing a heartfelt cover of the 1983 Tears for Fears hit single.

The poignant clip finds Maldonado and the PTX gang amid a dark scene, belting the song and the pensive chorus, “I find it hard to tell you, I find it hard to take / When people run in circles it’s a very very / Mad world, mad world.”

Pentatonix’s “Mad World” cover follows Brandi Carlile‘s a few days earlier, encouraging fans to vote.

It’s the latest music from Pentatonix, following the release of the a capella group’s latest album At Home, which features covers of Dua Lipa‘s summer hit “Break My Heart,” The Cranberries’ “Dreams, Billie Eilish’s “When the Party’s Over” and The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights.”
