Juliana Aidén Martinez to Star on Eighth Season of CBS’ “FBI”

Juliana Aidén Martinez is joining the Fed.

The Latina actress will star on CBS’ FBI series as a series regular for its upcoming eighth season.

With FBI‘s Stuart Scola (John Boyd) still looking for a permanent partner after the departure last fall of Tiffany Wallace (Katherine Renee Kane), Martinez could play a new agent paired with him.

Lisette Olivera was initially cast as a series regular last season to succeed Kane but left after a handful of episodes as Scola’s new partner Syd Ortiz.

Emily Alabi was subsequently added as a recurring, playing Dani Rhodes, a temporary partner for Scola. Alabi will return in the fall to wrap Dani’s story, sources tell Deadline.

In addition to Boyd, Martinez joins returning FBI series regulars Missy Peregrym, Zeeko Zaki, Jeremy Sisto and Alana de la Garza.

Martinez previously starred on Law & Order: SVU as a series regular.

Both Law & Order: SVU and FBI hail from Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television

Other actors who have moved from one Wolf Entertainment show to another as new characters include Dylan McDermott (Law & Order: Organized Crime to FBI: Most Wanted), Jesse Lee Soffer (Chicago P.D. to FBI: International) and, most recently, Brandon Larracuente (On Call to Chicago Fire).

Known for her breakout role in Netflix’s limited series Griselda opposite Sofia Vergara, Martinez played Detective Kate Silva on Season 26 of SVU.

Martinez also starred in the 2022 indie thriller Boundary and guest starred on 9-1-1, The Blacklist and Prodigal Son.

Lisette Olivera Lands Series Regular Role on CBS’ “FBI”

Lisette Olivera is joining the Bureau. 

The 25-year-old Mexican American actress has landed a series regular role on CBS‘ popular police procedural FBI.

Lisette Olivera,Olivera will reportedly be playing Syd, a trained Behavioral Analysis Unit Agent who is about to rotate into the field.

Wrapping up its sixth season in May, FBI follows the inner workings of the New York field office criminal division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, as they fight to keep New York City and the country safe.

Others in the cast include Missy Peregrym, Zeeko Zaki, Jeremy Sisto, Alana De La Garza, John Boyd and Katherine Renee Kane.

Produced by Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, in association with CBS Studios, the show’s executive producers include Dick Wolf, Mike Weiss, Alex Chapple, Amanda Slater, Rick Eid and Peter Jankowski.

FBI received a three-season renewal in April, which will take the show through Season 9. It returns for Season 7 on October 15.

In the vein of Wolf’s Law & Order and Chicago franchises, the show has also over the years led to popular spin-offs including FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International, which continue to air.

Olivera is coming off of her first major TV role in National Treasure: Edge of History, an expansion of the National Treasure film franchise executive produced by Jerry Bruckheimer for Disney+.

She led the cast as Jess Valenzuela, a 20-year-old Dreamer who sets off on an exploration to discover the mystery of her family history, and with the help of her friends, seeks to recover historical lost treasure.

Previously, Olivera has also been seen starring alongside Sierra McCormick, Vinessa Shaw, Pat Healy and more in We Need to Do Something, an indie horror film from director Sean King O’Grady, which world premiered at the Tribeca Festival.
