Ozuna to Kick Off Latinos Unidos Live Streaming Festival This Saturday

Ozuna is going virtual…

The 28-year-old Puerto Rican reggaeton and Latin trap singer will take his concert online, kicking off the Latinos Unidos Live streaming festival this Saturday, May 16 on YouTube.

Ozuna

Ozuna, and artists like him, don’t want shelter in place orders in most Latin American countries to keep them from enjoying their music. So they’re offering livestream concerts free of charge or as a way of raising money for COVID-19-related relief.

Latinos Unidos features multiple Latin beer brands like VictoriaCorona and Aguila coming together to raise money for specific non-profit organizations in countries like Colombia and Guatemala that are helping the most vulnerable communities impacted by COVID-19.

Latinos Unidos will kick off on May 16 with Ozuna’s concert on his YouTube channel. The virtual music festival will go on until May 30 with multiple Latin artists set to perform.

¡Mi gente! Your favorite Latin beers and I invite you to join us during the #LatinosUnidos live so we can dance, sing and help our Latin brothers and sisters that need our help,” Ozuna said.

For now, the only other artist confirmed to perform is Brazilian superstar Anitta.

Others will be announced during tomorrow’s livestream.

According to a press release, money raised during the live stream concerts will benefit organizations like Fundación Solidaridad por Colombia to buy ventilators that’ll be distributed to the Health Department in Chocó, located in Colombia’s Pacific Coast region.

In Guatemala, funds will be directed to “El Amor en Caja” which has been supporting families with food and hygiene products during the global health crisis.
