Benjamin Flores Jr. Upped to Series Regular on Showtime’s “Your Honor”

There’s more honor in Benjamin Flores Jr.’s future…

The 20-year-old Afro-Latino actor and rapper, whose stage name is Lil’ P-Nut, has been promoted to series regular for the upcoming second and finals season of Showtime’s “Your Honor.”

Bryan Cranston stars in the series as Michael Desiato, a respected New Orleans judge whose teenage son is involved in a hit-and-run that leads to a high-stakes game of lies, deceit and impossible choices.

As the only surviving son of Jimmy Baxter (Michael Stuhlbarg), Stanton’s Carlo Baxter is now more determined than ever to follow in his father’s criminal footsteps.  Stanton appeared in eight episodes in the first season.

Flores’ Eugene Jones’ attempt to avenge his brother’s death has created a new chain of events that threaten to create a war on the streets of New Orleans. Flores appeared in nine episodes in Season 1.

Currently in production, Your Honor is produced by CBS Studios in association with KingSize Productions, with Peter Moffat, Robert and Michelle King and Liz Glotzer executive producing.

Season 1, which was based on the Israeli series Kvodo created by Ron Ninio and Shlomo Mashiach, became the most-watched debut season on Showtime ever with 6.6 million weekly viewers.

Flores starred in Fear Street, Rim of the World, Transformers: The Last Knight, Game Shakers and The Haunted Hathaways, for which he earned the Imagen Award for Best Young Actor-Television.

Ruby Cruz to Appear on HBO’s Limited Series “Mare of Easttown”

Ruby Cruz is heading to Easttown

The Latina actress has joined the supporting cast of HBO’s Mare of Easttown, its upcoming limited series starring Kate Winslet.

Written by Brad Inglesby, and directed by Craig ZobelMare of Easttown stars Winslet as Mare Sheehan, a small-town Pennsylvania detective whose life crumbles around her as she investigates a local murder. The limited series is an exploration into the dark side of a close community and an authentic examination of how family and past tragedies can define our present.

The series is a co-production of HBO and Paul Lee’s wiip. It will premiere April 18 on HBO.

Cruz will portray Jess Riley, Erin McMenamin’s best friend.

The cast also includes Guy Pearce, Julianne Nicholson, Jean Smart, Angourie Rice, Evan Peters, Cailee Spaeny, David Denman, John Douglas Thompson, Patrick Murney, James McArdle, Sosie Bacon, Joe Tippett and Neal Huff.

Cruz recurred in Hulu’s Castle Rock and guest-starred in Blue Bloods.

Ruby Cruz to Star in the CW’s “The Lost Boys” Pilot

The Latina actress has been cast opposite Branden Cook and Lincoln Younes in The Lost Boys, the CW’s retooled pilot from Heather Mitchell and Rob Thomas based on the 1987 Warner Bros. movie.

In The Lost Boys, written by Mitchell and Thomas and directed by Marcos Siega, a mother and her Gen Zsons, one played by Cook, move to the seaside town where she grew up, they discover there’s a sinister reason the local cool kids sleep all day, party all night, never grow up and never get old. Family bonds are tested as the brothers find themselves on opposite sides of a mythological struggle. Based on the 1987 cult classic that revolutionized how we think about vampires.

Cook plays Garrett, the older of the two brothers who have moved with their mom to the North Carolina seaside community. He’s a version of the Michael character in the movie, which was played by Jason Patric.

Younes plays Benjamin, the charismatic leader of the gang of vampires in the town. It is a version of the David character played in the movie by Kiefer Sutherland.

Cruz plays Elsie, a version of Jami Gertz’s character Star in the movie, who sparks a little romance with the new guy in town, Garrett.

Cruz is best known for playing a young Lizzy Kaplan on the second season of Hulu’s Castle Rock. She’s in production on HBO Max’s Mare of Easttown with Kate Winslet
