Loren Joins the Cast of Fox’s “Gang Related”

Lela Loren will have to choose between two hunky Latinos this upcoming television season.

The Latina actress has been cast in a major recurring role on Fox’s new drama Gang Related.

Starring Ramon Rodriguez, the series centers on Ryan Lopez, a gang member sent in to infiltrate the San Francisco Police Department.

Loren will portray Sylvia, a woman caught between her ex-boyfriend Ryan, and her current fiancé Dante Acosta (portrayed by Jay Hernandez), gang lord Javier Acosta’s son and Ryan’s best friend since childhood.

Loren’s credits include television appearances on Covert Affairs, The Closer, The Mentalist and Lost, as well as a film role in The Hangover Part III, which was released earlier this year.

Cardona to Appear in Princely Role on the CW’s Drama “Reign”

There’s a new Prince Charming on the CW… And, his name is Manolo Cardona

The 36-year-old Colombian actor has signed on for recurring role on the CW’s new drama Reign.

The series centers on the teen years of Mary Queen of Scots (portrayed by Adelaide Kane) in the French court.

Cardona will portray Tomas, the dashing Prince of Portugal. He’s playful and seemingly grounded though he may have a sinister, sadistic, and completely amoral soul.

Cardona recently wrapped an arc on USA’s Covert Affairs as Arthur’s (Peter Gallagher) son Teo Braga.

Cardona’s credits include Beverly Hills Chihuahua and Border Run.

The 35-year-old Colombian actor and telenovela star has landed a multi-episode recurring role on USA‘s spy drama Covert Affairs, which stars Piper Parabo.

Cardona, who was cast in the network’s untitled pilot starring Miss Bala star Stephanie Sigman, will portray Teo Braga, an enigmatic Colombian rebel leader. Described as “brilliant and brooding,” he harbors secrets about his past that will greatly affect Annie (Parabo), Auggie and the other members of the CIA.

The stint reunites Cardona with Parabo, his co-star in Beverly Hills Chihuahua.

Cardona’s next film will be Border Run.

Loren Cast in Lifetime’s Original Movie “Stalkers”

Lela Loren is getting the Lifetime treatment…

The Latina actress has joined the cast of Lifetime’s two-hour original movie/backdoor pilot Stalkers, which could become a full series on the network.

The project follows Diane Harper (Drea de Matteo), a hot-headed cop with a troubled past, and a polished, ambitious district attorney (Jodi Lyn O’Keefe) who team up to bring a stalker (Mena Suvari), obsessed with her former lover (Loren), to justice.

Loren most recently starred in the Warner Brothers web series H+, produced by Bryan Singer.

Loren’s television credits include guest-starring appearances on Covert Affairs, The Shield, The Mentalist, Lost and CSI; Miami.

Serricchio Heading to CBS’ “The Young and the Restless”

The 30-year-old Argentinean actor and soap opera stud, best known to daytime television viewers as psychotic mob spawn Diego Alcazar on General Hospital, is heading to CBSThe Young and the Restless.

But this time Serricchio will be working on the right side of the law. Or will he?

He’s set to portray a new character named Alex, an astute undercover police officer who comes to Genoa City from New York City with a big secret.

Serricchio is expected to begin work in late October and will hit the air in December, according to TV Guide.

The Emmy-nominated actor, who has guest starred on The Client List, CSI: Miami, The Finder and Covert Affairs, has also been a regular on the hit internet soap The Bay.

Alonso to Star in NBC’s “Revolution”

The 33-year-old half-Puerto Rican and part-Peruvian actress has landed a role on NBC’s J.J. Abrams-produced drama Revolution.

Alonso will portray “Nora” on the eagerly awaited show. Series creator and executive producer Eric Kripke describes her character as a “rebel fighter, battling against the militia that controls North America. And she’s got a lot of rough water under the bridge with Miles, Billy Burke’s character. And she likes to blow stuff up.”

Alonso has previously had recurring roles on Friday Night Lights, One Tree Hill and Covert Affairs.

Revolution, which showcases a post-apocalyptic America where electrical devices cease functioning, debuts on September 17.

The Latina filmmaker has signed on to direct Lionsgate’s latest feature film Addicted, an adaptation of the provocative best-selling novel of the same name by Zane.

The book, a psychological drama, tells the story of the perfect family woman whose sex addiction is unraveling her perfect family life.

The film is being readied for a spring/early summer start.

Rodriguez, who completed the Minority and Women’s Directing Program for John Wells Productions, rose to fame after directing the dramatic feature film Acts of Worship, which went to win her Best Director awards at several film festivals.

In recent years, she’s focusing her directing efforts on shows like Rescue Me, Castle and Law & Order.
