Sanchez & Iraheta Perform Backup for Jennifer Lopez on “American Idol”

It’s a special homecoming for American Idol alums Jessica Sanchez and Allison Iraheta

The 18-year-old half-Mexican American singer, the runner-up on the eleventh season of Fox’s hit singing competition, and the 21-year-old Salvadoran American singer, the fourth place finalist on the eighth season of long-running program, returned to the American Idol stage on Thursday night to help judge Jennifer Lopez perform her latest single “I Luh Ya Papi.”

Sanchez, Iraheta and season 10’s Pia Toscano joined J.Lo for a silly-sweet and harmonious intro to her live performance with French Montana.

The scene opened with la Lopez, Sanchez, Iraheta and Toscano talking on the stoop of a faux-Bronx brownstone, all three former contestants sharing their thoughts on which of the male singers from this season is the sexiest.

From there, Lopez lead them in a flawless four-part a cappella run of the song before taking center stage to perform “I Luh Ya Papi.”
