Netflix Renews Bringas’ “Fuller House” for Second Season

Netflix has renewed Fuller House, starring the Latina actress, for a second season. The news was revealed on the show’s Twitter account.

The renewal comes just days after the premiere of Netflix’s reboot of the classic ABC sitcom.

The 13-episode series continues the family adventures that began on the original show back in 1987, with veterinarian D.J. Tanner-Fuller (Candace Cameron Bure) recently widowed and living in San Francisco. Tanner-Fuller is raising her three sons with the help of her younger sister Stephanie Tanner (Jodie Sweetin) and childhood pal Kimmy Gibler (Andrea Barber). Original series stars John Stamos (Jesse Katsopolis), Bob Saget (Danny Tanner), Dave Coulier (Joey Gladstone), Lori Loughlin (Becky Katsopolis) and Scott Weinger (Steve Hale) make guest appearances.

Bringas portrays Ramona Gibbler, the daughter of Kimmy Gibbler. Her father Fernando is portrayed by Juan Pablo Di Pace.

Bringas’ credits include appearances on Jane the Virgin and Instant Mom.

The 36-year-old Argentine actor, singer and director has booked a recurring role on Netflix’s Fuller House, the sequel to the popular television sitcom Full House.

The reboot will follow D.J. Tanner (Candace Cameron-Bure), a recent widow who is raising her children with the help of sister Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and best friend and fellow mother Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber).

Di Pace, who starred as Jesus Christ in NBC‘s miniseries A.D. The Bible Continues, will play Fernando, Kimmy’s (Barber) passionate ex-husband.

John Stamos, the erstwhile Uncle Jesse, is producing Fuller House, which will star Full House regulars Cameron-Bure, Lori Loughlin, Sweetin and Barber, with Stamos and Dave Coulier appearing in guest spots.

Di Pace previously appeared on another series reboot, TNT’s Dallas.

His other credits include appearances on the NBC series Camp and the film adaptation of the Broadway musical Mamma Mia!

Fuller House is scheduled to premiere on Netflix in 2016.

NBC has released the first trailer for NBC‘s A.D., featuring the 35-year-old Argentine actor, singer and director as Jesus Christ.

The television minisries offers a look at the aftermath of the Crucifixion of Christ, how it shakes those closest to him and changes Rome.

Christ’s death has a massive impact on his disciples, his mother Mary, and key political and religious leaders of the era, completely altering the entire world in an instant. The disciples struggle to survive and share their beliefs, while trying to protect themselves from a government that worries about a potential uprising.

Meanwhile, those who believe in the Resurrection are waiting for his return. “High priest, the tomb is now opened and the Nazarene is gone,” so a soldier tells Caiaphas.

The project is a follow-up to History Channel‘s hit original series The Bible.

In addition to di Pace, the cast also includes Richard Coyle (as Caiaphas), Vincent Regan (as Pilate), Adam Levy (as Peter), Emmet Scanlan (as Saul), Chipo Chung (as Mary Magdalene), Jodhi May (as Leah, wife of the High Priest Caiaphas), Joanne Whalley (as Claudia, wife of Pilate), Greta Scacchi (as Mother Mary) and Babou Ceesay (as John).

The 12-episode miniseries is executive produced by Mark Burnett and Roma Downey, who also shepherded The Bible.

It will premiere Sunday, April 5 on NBC.

The 35-year-old Argentine actor, singer and director has been cast in Mark Burnett and Roma Downey’s 12-episode NBC event series A.D., which is set to premiere on Easter Sunday, April 5.

A follow-up to Burnett and Downey’s highly rated The Bible miniseries, A.D. chronicles the aftermath of Jesus’ crucifixion as the tiny band of followers fight for survival while they try to spread the Word to the world. But they have hope and soon they have power: the amazing miracle of the resurrection, and the arrival of the Holy Spirit upon them.

Di Pace, who most recently starred on TNT’s Dallas, will portray Jesus, the charismatic leader who appears only when dying on the cross, or in resurrected divine form.

Di Pace’s other credits include the films Mamma Mia! and Survival Island, as well as television appearances on Camp.

The 34-year-old Argentine actor, model and director has joined the cast of TNT’s nighttime soap opera Dallas, which stars Jordana Brewster and Julie Gonzalo.

Di Pace, who recently starred in NBC’s summer series Camp, will portray Nicolas Treviño, a powerful self-made billionaire businessman who comes across as a good, genuine guy, even though there are darker parts of his personality that he’s hiding from the world.

Di Pace’s credits include a role in the film adaptation of the Broadway musical Mamma Mia!, starring Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan, as well as an appearance in Muse’s video for “Time is Running Out.”
