Rachel Campos-Duffy Named Co-Host of “Fox & Friends Weekend”

Rachel Campos-Duffy is movin’ on up at Fox News…

The 49-year-old Mexican American television personality, a former cast member on MTV’s reality television series The Real World: San Francisco, will co-host Fox & Friends Weekend.

The announcement coming days after Fox News Channel confirmed that it was parting ways with Jedediah Bila.

Campos-Duffy will debut June 12 alongside co-hosts Pete Hegseth and Will Cain.

Campos-Duffy will be the only Hispanic woman to host a cable news morning program. The mother of nine children, she will continue to host Moms on Fox Nation, and will begin to host a podcast, From the Kitchen Table — the Duffy’s, this Friday for Fox News Audio with her husband, former Rep. Sean Duffy (R-WI). The episodes will be available weekly starting June 5.

Campos-Duffy joined Fox News as a contributor in 2016 and has been a regular guest host on Fox & Friends, a panelist on Outnumbered and a rotating host on Fox News Primetime at 7:00 p.m. ET.

Rachel Campos-Duffy to Serve as One of the Rotating Hosts of “Fox News Primetime”

Rachel Campos-Duffy will be pulling hosting duties in the near future.

The 49-year-old Mexican American television personality, a former cast member on MTV’s reality television series The Real World: San Francisco, has been added to the list of rotating hosts who’ll anchor Fox News Primetime, which is set for its debut in the 7:00 pm ET hour as part of a plan to fill the slot with opinion programming.

Campos-Duffy, who has been a regular contributor to Fox News, joins a roster of rotating hosts that includes Maria Bartiromo, Brian Kilmeade, Trey Gowdy, Katie Pavlich and Mark Steyn.

Back in October, Fox News said that they were planning new formats “as appropriate after the election.” But since election day, much has been made of the growth of Newsmax’s viewership, particularly in the 7:00 pm hour, as Greg Kelly Reports was a platform for pro-Donald Trump guests to advance unfounded claims of election fraud.

Fox News topped other cable networks in viewership last year, but CNN has seen gains post election. In the first week of January, CNN topped primetime with an average of 4.18 million viewers, to 3.78 million for MSNBC and 3.19 million for Fox News.

Campos-Duffy was a guest host on the ABC talk show The View, before moving onto Fox News, where she has guest-hosted the show Outnumbered.

Campos-Duffy has served as the national spokesperson for the LIBRE initiative, a non-profit organization that promotes ideas about constitutionally limited government, property rights, rule of law, economic stability, and free market capitalism to the Hispanic community.

Estefan to Replace Joy Behar on “The View”?

Could ABC’s long-running daytime talk show The View finally be ready to hire a Latina to sit at the co-host table?

ABC executives are looking to replace Joy Behar, who recently announced she’s leaving the show at the end of the season, with a Latina, according to The Daily Mail UK.

Gloria Estefan

Gloria Estefan, who is currently working on a Broadway show about her life, is allegedly one of the top contenders. The 55-year-old Cuban-born Latin music icon has appeared as a guest co-host in the past.

But she’s not the only Latina singer apparently under consideration…

Cuban Christian singer Jaci Velasquez, a devout Christian, is said to be in the running.

The website reports that ABC executives want to spice things up and think a feisty conservative Latina with views similar to host Elisabeth Hasselbeck would be an appropriate candidate to star alongside the show’s creator Barbara Walters.

Meantime, staunch Republican Rachel Campos-Duffy, who is married to Sean Duffy, a Republican Congressman in Wisconsin whom she met while filming the MTV hit reality series The Real World: San Francisco, could finally get a spot on the show.

She’s previously tried out twice for The View. She’s currently a stay-at-home and a devoted Catholic.
