Thorne Helps Bring Pre-Thanksgiving Cheer to the Homeless

The 16-year-old half-Cuban actress, singer and soon-to-be published author took part in Los Angeles Mission‘s annual Thanksgiving for the Homeless on Wednesday, November 27.

Thorne, who participated in the event last year, joined hundreds of other volunteers who put on the red aprons and helped serve hot meals to the homeless.

Thorne, who rocked a black-and-white sweatshirt, was joined by her boyfriend Tristan Klier who planted a kiss on her head at one point. She also took to Twitter to write, “getting ready to serve some hot meals at @TheLAMission #skidrowmeal. just a couple dollars serves a whole meal to someone in need.”

Other celebrities joining the annual charitable event included former The Real Housewives of Orange County star Gretchen Rossi, supernanny Jo Frost, singer Allison Paige, former Desperate Housewives star Andrea Bowen and model Arianny Celeste.

The 15-year-old part-Cuban-American actress served food to the homeless at the Los Angeles Mission in California on Wednesday.

Thorne, who joined other celebrities like Tatyana Ali, Neil Patrick Harris and Matthew Bomer, enthusiastically did her job as food servants at the event while donning a red apron.

For the occasion Thorne, who arrived with boyfriend Tristan Klier in tow, wore matching pink pants and brown shoes. Expressing her excitement, she posted a picture of her and Tristan posing in a food booth.

“Team work! I’m the plate server.. He’s the plate runner! @tristanklier89 Los Angeles mission,” tweeted the Shake It Up star.

Other volunteers included Eileen Davidson, Malin Akerman, Blair Underwood, Kirk Douglas and Zachary Levi.

Los Angeles Mission is a charity organization, which aims to provide support, hope, and opportunity to the ones who need them. It has a mission to change the lives of poor people. The charity work also aims to protect homeless people.
