Wyatt Flores to Perform at This Year’s Americana Honors & Awards

Wyatt Flores is ready to take the American stage…

The 23-year-old Mexican American country music singer-songwriter and musician will perform at this year’s Americana Honors & Awards.

Flores is nominated this year in the Emerging Act of the Year category.

Other performers include Sierra FerrellNoah Kahan, Brandy Clark, Blind Boys of Alabama, Dave AlvinDwight Yoakam, Shelby Lynne, SistaStrings (who will perform with Clark), Fantastic Negrito (who will perform in a tribute to the late Rev. Gary Davis), Charles Wesley Godwin, Hurray for the Riff Raff, Jobi Riccio, Kaitlin Butts, Larkin Poe, The Milk Carton Kids, Sarah Jarosz, Turnpike Troubadours, The War and Treaty and Waxahatchee with MJ Lenderman.

The program will be filmed for broadcast on PBS in the Austin City Limits time slot in November.

Wyatt Flores Earns Americana Music Honors & Awards Nod for Emerging Act of the Year

The Mexican-American Oklahoma-born troubadour has earned a nomination for the 23rd annual Americana Music Honors & Awards.

Wyatt FloresThe “Break My Bones” and “How To Save a Life” singer is up for Emerging Act of the Year.

Meanwhile, Adrian Quesada and his Black Pumas mate Eric Burton have been nominated in the Duo/Group of the Year category.

The winners will be announced during the Americana Music Association‘s annual Americana Honors & Awards on Wednesday, September 18, at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.

The awards show is the centerpiece of the annual Americanafest, which returns for its 24th year September 17-21, 2024.

Wyatt Flores to Perform at 2024 Rock the South Festival

Wyatt Flores is headed to “the biggest part in the south” next year.

Rock the South will return to Cullman, Alabama in 2024 for a three-day festival July 18-20, featuring the Mexican American country singer-songwriter.

Wyatt FloresIn addition to Flores, who has earned acclaim for his single “Please Don’t Go,” joins a roster that includes headliners Eric ChurchHARDY and Jelly Roll.

Other artists set to perform at the festival include Oliver AnthonyParker McCollumFlatland Cavalry, Warren Zeiders, Priscilla Block, Nelly, Gavin Adcock, Nate Smith and more throughout the three-day event.

As Rock the South continues to grow, organizers have increased the festival site by over 45 percent, invested in infrastructure improvements for campers, and added ways to beat the heat with the Honky Tonk Hideaway, a large-scale air-conditioned Nashville Broadway Experience outfitted with an acoustic stage, line-dancing lessons and more.

Tickets will go on sale on Friday, November 3. Pre-sale registration is now open and ends on Wednesday, November 1)at 10 a.m.
