Penélope Cruz is getting ready for Child’s play…

The 42-year-old Spanish actress is attached to star in Todd Solondz’s new project Love Child.

Penelope Cruz

Cruz would star opposite Edgar Ramírez, who starred in the Roberto Duran boxing biopic Hands of Stone.

Solondz, the man behind Wiener Dog and Welcome To The Dollhouse, writes and directs the project, which is described as a dark and hilarious twist on the classic Oedipal theme.

The story follows 11-year-old Junior, a delusional aspiring Broadway star with an inappropriate obsession with his mother Immaculada. After orchestrating an accident that nearly kills his abusive father, he encourages Nacho, the handsome man living in the family’s guesthouse, to court his mother and become his new dad. But when the two fall in love, Junior becomes so jealous that he is no longer the subject of his mother’s attention that he hatches a plan to frame Nacho for his father’s murder.

The film is currently in pre-production.

Cruz recently joined the cast of Kenneth Branagh’s Murder On The Orient Express, based on Agatha Christie’s beloved murder mystery novel. She’ll join an ensemble cast including Michael Peña, Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo and Judi Dench. She’s also in Escobar with husband Javier Bardem in a film that examines the love affair between drug lord Pablo Escobar and Colombian journalist Virginia Vallejo.

Ramirez recently starred alongside Emily Blunt in The Girl On The Train, adapted from Paula Hawkins’ bestselling book, and Gold with Matthew McConaughey, the adventure mining story. He’s also got a role in Netflix’s sci-fi pic Bright with Will Smith and Noomi Rapace.

Edgar Ramirez is ready to mine his own business…

The 37-year-old Venezuelan actor, who starred in Zero Dark Thirty, will star opposite Matthew McConaughey in Black Bear Pictures’ upcoming mining drama Gold.

In the Stephen Gaghan-helmed project, Ramirez will portray geologist Michael Acosta opposite the Oscar winner’s role of prospector Walsh.

Written by Patrick Massett and John Zinman and based on the true story about the 1993 Bre-X Mineral Corporation mining scandal, the film revolves around the unlikely pair traveling to the Indonesian jungle in search of the highly valued soft metal of the title.

Production begins in June with filming in New York, New Mexico and Thailand.

Best known for playing 1970s terrorist Ilich Ramírez Sánchez in the 2010 miniseries Carlos, a role that earned him the César Award for Most Promising Actor, Ramirez’s more recent credits include David O. Russell’s Joy opposite Jennifer Lawrence and the Alcon reboot of Point Break, both of which are set for Christmas Day releases this year. Additionally, the actor stars as boxer Roberto Duran in the biopic Hands of Stone opposite Robert DeNiro. Hands of Stone is scheduled to hit the big screen in October.

Justice Releases Official Music Video for Her Debut Single “Gold”

It’s a golden era in music for Victoria Justice

After releasing teaser videos for her fans and photos from the set, the 20-year-old half-Puerto Rican singer/actress has released the official music video for her latest single “Gold.

In the three-minute clip, Justice is seen getting her flirt on with her on-screen love interest, Teen Wolf heartthrob Colton Haynes.

The video also shows the former star of Nickelodeon’s Victorious series dancing around in cute dresses, lying down on a car and blowing gold dust onto Haynes’ face, as she demands him to “take a chance on” her.

“If you want me like I want you/ Then man up and make your move/ I’m gold, gold,” croons Justice.

“Gold” is Justice’s official debut single, which premiered last month.

“I’m really excited to be releasing ‘Gold’, my first single,” Victoria said at that time. “It’s an upbeat song about a girl just trying to tell a guy, that she’d like to be more than just friends. I think it’s an empowering position for a girl to be taking because she’s putting it all out there. It’s a fun summer tune with a little sass.”

Justice will be performing the single on her tour with Big Time Rush this summer. The Summer Break Tour will have stops in more than 40 cities including New York, Chicago and Dallas.

Justice Releases Debut Single “Gold”

It’s a golden moment for Victoria Justice

The 20-year-old half-Puerto Rican singer/actress has unveiled her debut single “Gold,” which was released to digital retailers on Tuesday, June 18, after premiering on Ryan Seacrest‘s syndicated radio show one day earlier.

Justice’s “Gold” follows in the pop-rock footsteps of Kelly Clarkson and P!nk, with the former Victorious star keeping things light with some PG-rated “we’re more than friends!” exclamations and tossed-off rapping in the bridge.

Justice gives her Nickelodeon fans an airy, accessible introduction to her first proper solo album.

“It definitely falls under the category of pop, but it’s my own vibe,” Justice told Billboard about the album earlier this month. “When you hear these songs…the people that know me are like, ‘This is so Vic!’ It’s 100 percent my personality, messages I want to get across. Some of the songs are really fun, upbeat stuff you can dance to, and then I have some songs that are a little more introspective, a little more mellow. It’s just all me, basically, so it’s very cool.”

Along with “Gold,” Justice has offered a non-single bonus track, “Shake,” to fans eager for new music.

Justice will perform the single and her older favorites when she kicks off her summer tour alongside Big Time Rush on June 21 in Los Angeles.
