Netflix Acquires Rights to Raphael Alejandro’s Comedy “Incoming”

Raphael Alejandro’s latest project is heading to Netflix

Netflix has acquired the rights to Incoming, a comedy starring the 16-year-old Latino actor and Acapulco star.

Written and directed by Dave Chernin and John Chernin in their feature debut, the film also stars Mason Thames, Bardia Seiri and Ramon Reed.

Alejandro and his co-stars star as four high school freshmen who navigate the terrors of adolescence at their first-ever party.

Among those rounding out the cast are Bobby Cannavale, Kaitlin Olson, Scott MacArthur, Isabella Ferreira, Thomas Barbusca, Ali Gallo and Loren Gray.

The Chernin brothers are best known for creating The Mick, the Fox sitcom starring Olson as foul-mouthed babysitter Mackenzie Molng, which ran for two seasons.

Alejandro’s credits include Once Upon a Time, Kindergarten Cop 2, How to Be a Latin Lover and Almost Human.

Rios Books Arc on HBO’s “True Detective”

Emily Rios has found her true calling…

The 25-year-old Mexican American actress has landed a recurring role on the upcoming second season of HBO’s True Detective, which revolves around three police officers (Colin Farrell, Taylor Kitsch, Rachel McAdams) and a career criminal (Vince Vaughn), who must navigate a web of conspiracy in the aftermath of a murder.

Rios, who most recently starred on FX’s The Bridge, will portray Gabby Behenna, traumatized by life in a traumatic family.

Rios, who rose to acclaim in 2006’s Quinceañera, is currently shooting Paint It Black.

Her other television credits include guest appearances on Grimm, Almost Human, Private Practice, Breaking Bad and Friday Night Lights.
