Selena Gomez to Release New Song “Single Soon” This Friday

Selena Gomez is returning with new music…

The 31-year-old Mexican American actress and singer has announced that her new song “Single Soon” will arrive this Friday, Aug. 25, which should tide fans over until she’s able to finish her highly anticipated third album.

Selena Gomez“Y’all have been asking for new music for a while,” she wrote on Instagram, sharing the track’s glamorous cover art. “Since I’m not quite done with SG3, I wanted to put out a fun little song I wrote a while back that’s perfect for the end of summer.”

“SINGLE SOON,” she added. “August 25th. Presave it now. 😘”

Produced by Benny Blanco and Cashmere Cat, “Single Soon” unofficially kicks off Gomez’s new era of music, something fans have spent years waiting and wishing for.

She hasn’t released an English album since Rare in 2020, though she did drop her all-Spanish EP Revalación the following year. She’s also guested on a handful of sporadic singles since her last full album, including Rema’s 2022 smash “Calm Down,” and released a standalone track “My Mind & Me” in support of her documentary of the same name last year.

In the “Single Soon” cover art, Gomez smolders in front of the camera, posing in the backseat of a car with a glamorous fur jacket. The Only Murders In the Building star also shared a handful of behind-the-scenes photos featuring a couple of friends, a clothing rack filled with costumes and a note reading “I’m sorry I can’t don’t hate me,” possibly hinting at a “Single Soon” music video.

Cabello Teaming with One Republic’s Ryan Tedder on New Music

It’s one republic for Camila Cabello

The 20-year-old Cuban singer and former Fifth Harmony member is spending studio time with One Republic’s Ryan Tedder.

Camila Cabello & Ryan Tedder

Earlier this week, Cabello and Tedder took to Twitter to give fans a peek at what they were up to: making music together. Tedder was the first to tease their forthcoming collaboration, sharing a video with Cabello in the studio.

“Studio moments of musical genius with Camila Cabello,” Tedder captioned the video.

After retweeting Tedder and OneRepublic, Cabello chimed in herself by replying to Tedder using a series of emojis including hearts, piano keys and a guitar.

Although neither Cabello nor Tedder gave any hint as to what exactly they were working on, but OneRepublic had announced that new music is on the way earlier that day — so it seemingly won’t be long before we find out more.

It’s the latest in a line of collaborations for Cabello since announcing her departure from Fifth Harmony.

Most recently, Cabello partnered with Pitbull and J Balvin for the Fate of the Furious track, “Hey Ma.” She’s also working with Major Lazer on new music, and joined voices with Cashmere Cat on “Love Incredible.”

Before leaving the all-girl Group, Cabello worked with Shawn Mendes and Machine Gun Kelly as well.

Cabello Working with Major Lazer on New Music

Camila Cabello is apparently Lazer-focused on her solo career…

Major Lazer are dishing some major details about their studio time with the 20-year-old Cuban singer and former Fifth Harmony member.

Major Lazer & Camila Cabello

In an exclusive interview with Billboard Dance on Tuesday, the dance supergroup divulged more about their forthcoming collaborations Cabello.

The trio’s founder Diplo has teased their studio time together multiple times on Snapchat, the latest being back in January alongside Benny Blanco and Cashmere Cat.

And it seems the year-long stream of social media snippets resulted in a lot of unreleased material between them.

“We made like 20 songs with Camila Cabello,” Diplo says. “We love her.”

Diplo confirmed that there is a particular track in mind, set for release in the near future, but that “until we have the video and the song is on iTunes, you never know.” He adds, “But of course we have stuff with her. She’s done stuff with a lot of our friends, like Cashmere Cat, Benny Blanco, Frank Dukes — a lot of great producers we work with.”

There’s a good reason Camila has developed a close working relationship with the powerhouse trio: In the midst of her skyrocketing fame, she feels grounded when she’s with them. “Sometimes we just take for granted because we’re old, we’re not even famous,” Diplo says. “When you’re young and you’re that amazing and famous like that, it’s hard to live and be normal. When we’re with her, she enjoys that time because we take her places where she can enjoy herself. We love her, her voice is amazing. We’ve done many demos.”

Cabello Joins Voices with Cashmere Cat for “Love Incredible”

Camila Cabello is spreading the love

The 19-year-old Cuban American singer and former Fifth Harmony appears on Cashmere Cat‘s latest single “Love Incredible.”

Cabello shines in the R&B pop tune from Cashmere Cat’s upcoming debut LP Wild Love.

“Love Incredible” is sparse and just a little bit haunting as Cabello’s high-pitched croon pierces the snowy atmosphere.

The tune was co-produced by Sophie, another of dance music’s most experimental and certainly most pop-influenced composers.

It’s Cabello’s first project since leaving Fifth Harmony to pursue a solo career.

Her previous collaborations as a solo artist include her hit single “Bad Things with Machine Gun Kelly and her Shawn Mendes collab I Know What You Did Last Summer.

Gomez Lends Voice to Cashmere Cat’s New Single “Trust Nobody”

Selena Gomez is hoping to earn your Trust

The 24-year-old half-Mexican American singer/actress has joined voiced with Norwegian producer Cashmere Cat for his latest single, “Trust Nobody.”

In addition to Gomez, the single also features Tory Lanez.

Gomez brings on a sexy come-hither groan, while Larenz offers a little urban appeal.

It’s Gomez’s latest collaboration, following her hit single We Don’t Talk Anymore with Charlie Puth.
