Noomi Rapace to Star in Nissar Modi’s Psychological Thriller “Reckoner”

It’s reckoning day for Noomi Rapace.

The 44-year-old half-Spanish actress will star in the psychological thriller Reckoner, written and directed by Nissar Modi in his film directorial debut.

Noomi RapaceThe Prometheus and Constellation star is replacing Christina Hendricks, who is no longer attached due to scheduling conflicts.

In the film, an affluent woman’s (Rapace) carefully constructed life is disrupted by a young man connected to a tightly held secret from her past.

Produced by XYZ Films and Two & Two Pictures, XYZ Films will continue world sales on the project at the upcoming Cannes market, where it first launched last May.

Reckoner is a part of Two & Two and XYZ’s partnership to produce films from first- and second-time genre filmmakers from underrepresented demographics.

Previously, they have partnered on the upcoming Hallow Road starring Rosamund Pike and Matthew Rhys and recently announced He Bled Neon starring Joe Cole. They have also collaborated on Babak Anvari’s Under The Shadow and I Came By. The film is also a part of XYZ’s New Visions slate of films.

Millennium actress Rapace most recently starred in Apple’s Constellation and action-thriller Assassin Club.

Apple TV+ Gives Green Light to Noomi Rapace’s Space Adventure Series “Constellation”

Noomi Rapace has landed an out-of-this-world project…

Apple TV+ has given a formal green light to Constellation, a conspiracy-based psychological thriller drama series starring the 42-year-old half-Spanish actress.

Noomi RapaceRapace will star alongside Jonathan Banks in the project, which was created and written by Peter Harness.

Michelle MacLaren is set to direct the series from Turbine Studios and Haut et Court TV.

Constellation will star Rapace as Jo, a woman who returns to Earth after a disaster in space — only to discover that key pieces of her life seem to be missing.

The action-packed space adventure is an exploration of the dark edges of human psychology, one woman’s desperate quest to expose the truth about the hidden history of space travel and for her to recover all that she has lost.

Banks will play Henry, a Nobel Prize-winning physicist. The answers to his secret discovery are protected by Jo on the ISS… until she returns.

Constellation, which has been unofficially referred to as Cosmonauts and Electric Eye, is co-produced by Turbine Studios and Haut et Court TV.

Rapace’s television credits include a starring role in Season 2 of Prime Video’s Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan. Her most recent features include The Trip, You Want Be Alone, Black Crab and the upcoming Assassin Club.

Not only does the livestream event hope to collect one billion dreams for its unifying, algorithmically constructed “Dream Art” for viewers to share across social media, but it will collect donations to benefit Global Gift Foundation, Médecins Sans FrontièresDubai Cares, the International Red Cross, the Red Crescent Movement and FromU2ThemDream With Us will be the biggest production out of Dubai to serve the entire world.
