Vasi’s VH1 Series “Single Ladies” Picked Up for Third Season

It looks like Denise Vasi should be back on the small screen next year…

VH1 has officially picked up the network’s dramedy Single Ladies for a third season.

The 31-year-old half-Dominican, half-Puerto Rican actress joined the Single Ladies cast for its sophomore season, which will have its season finale on Monday, August 27 at 9:00 PM ET.

Vasi, who recently shared scenes with Dancing with the Stars finalist William Levy, joined the cast as a businesswoman named Raquel—a friend of one of the show’s original characters, Keisha, played by LisaRaye McCoy.

Single Ladies has been averaging 3.2 million total viewers during premieres plus first encores, up 10% from season one.

The series continues to be basic cable’s #1 ad-supported regularly scheduled scripted show among women 18-49 over the course of the summer.

Season 3  will to premiere later in 2013.

He’s guest-starring on two episodes of the VH1 hit series as Antonio, who reunites with his old friend Raquel, a new character played by half-Dominican, half-Puerto Rican actress Denise Vasi.

“William was a pleasure to work with,” wrote Vasi to one of her Twitter followers about her experience working with the hunky telenovela star. “Talented, funny, and a humble gentlemen.”

She even shared photos of her and Levy on-set, as well as at dinner after shooting.

Its Levy’s first acting stint on an English-language show. And, by the sound of things, it won’t be his last!

Levy to Guest Star on VH1’s Single Ladies…

He’s already one of the hottest Spanish telenovela stars… And, William Levy could soon conquer the hearts of English-speaking audiences.

The 31-year-old Cuban actor has signed on to guest star in two episodes of VH1’s Single Ladies, according to PeopleenEspanol.com.

Levy will appear as Antonio, who reunites with old friend Raquel, a new character to be played by half-Dominican, half-Puerto Rican actress Denise Vasi.

This will be Levy’s first acting appearance in an English-language show.

Vasi Joins the Cast of VH1’s “Single Ladies”

Denise Vasi has plenty of reason to be a proud “single lady”…

The half-Dominican, half-Puerto Rican actress has signed on as a series regular on VH1’s Single Ladies, which was renewed for a second season after averaging 2.8 million viewers per episode.

The former All My Children star will play a businesswoman named Raquel—a friend of one of the show’s current characters, Keisha, played by LisaRaye McCoy.

“Denise is the perfect addition to the Single Ladies cast,” said Queen Latifah, the show’s executive producer. “She is bringing a fun, new element to the show.”

Vasi will replace another Latina bombshell on the hit show…

Stacey Dash has previously announced that she planned to leave the show, which films in Atlanta, to spend more time with her children in Los Angeles.

Vasi has also appeared on White Collar, The Protector  and Law & Order: Criminal Intent. She’s also set to appear in Steven Soderbergh’s movie about male strippers, Magic Mike, starring Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer and Olivia Munn.

Season 2 of Single Ladies will debut next summer.
