Sapene to Star in WE tv’s Docuseries “My Life is a Telenovela”

Enrique Sapene is opening a window to his television life…

WE tv has ordered eight hour-long episodes of My Life is a Telenovela docuseries, featuring the 32-year-old Venezuelan actor.

Set in Miami, and produced by Matador, the series will follow a group of beautiful and fierce Latina actresses and actors working in this hyper-competitive world. It begins with several characters vying for the same role in a real life telenovela being produced by Telemundo, resulting in drama and fireworks on both sides, says WE tv.

In addition to Sapene, the show also features fellow telenovela stars including Raquenel, Sissi Fleitas, Gustavo Pedraza and Liliana Gonzalez.

Sapene’s credits include Tómame o Déjame, Pecadora and Hacienda Heights.

My Life is a Telenovela is set to premiere later this year.

Ramirez Upped to Series Regular on Starz’s “Power”

J.R. Ramirez is powering up…

The 33-year-old Latino actor, who recurred on the first season of Starz’s drama series Power, has been promoted to regular for the show’s second season.

Power centers on wealthy New York City nightclub owner James “Ghost” St. Patrick (portrayed by Omari Hardwick), who is living a double life as a kingpin.

Ramirez portrays Julio, second in command to Tommy (Joseph Sikora).

Ramirez, who portrayed Dr. A.J. Aquino on Emily Owens M.D., was also recently cast as Ted “Wildcat” Grant on the upcoming third season of the CW‘s Arrow.

His other television credits include GCB, 24 and Hacienda Heights.

Ramirez Scores a Recurring Role on “Emily Owens, M.D.”

J.R. Ramirez is checking into Denver Memorial Hospital…

The 32-year-old Latino actor has landed a recurring role on the CW‘s new dramedy Emily Owens, M.D., according to TVGuide.com.

Ramirez, who rose to acclaim as Eddie Jr. on the series Hacienda Heights, will play AJ, a confident doctor who returns to the hospital after a leave of absence hoping to get his job back. AJ, who was friends with Micah (Michael Rady), also apparently has a bit of a troubledd history in the workplace with Gina Bandari (Necar Zadegan).

Ramirez’s previous television credits include a stint on House of Payne, as well as appearances on GCB and 90210.

He’ll first appear in an episode slated for January.

Emily Owens airs Tuesdays at 9:00 pm ET on the CW.
