Julie Gonzalo is headed to National City…

The 37-year-old Argentine actress and former star of TNT’s Dallas reboot, is joining the cast of the CW’s Supergirl for its upcoming fifth season.

Gonzalo will portray iconic DC Comics character Andrea Rojas (aka Acrata). A polished businesswoman and heir to a Central American tech empire, Andrea Rojas is now making a hostile advance into the world of media. Unapologetic and unafraid to make waves, she also holds a mystical secret.

Gonzalo will make her debut during the season’s premiere episode on Sunday, October 6 at 9:00 ET on the CW.

In addition to Dallas, Gonzalo’s credits include Veronica Mars and Eli Stone.

Brewster’s “Dallas” Returning to TNT for a Third Season

TNT has renewed its popular Dallas reboot, which stars the 33-year-old half-Brazilian American and Fast and Furious 6 star, for a third season.

Produced by Warner Horizon Television, Dallas is the official follow-up to the iconic 1980s series.

TNT has ordered 15 episodes for the third season, which is slated to launch in early 2014.

“Although we said goodbye to Larry Hagman and his iconic character J.R. Ewing this year, Dallas has many more stories left to tell, and the Ewing clan will continue to honor J.R.’s memory by keeping its audience surprised and delighted,” said the network’s head of programming Michael Wright.

In addition to Brewster – whose character Elena Ramos could prove to be the main antagonist next season after learning J.R. defrauded her father years earlier in the season finale – the series stars Julie Gonzalo, Jesse Metcalf and Josh Henderson, as well as Dallas’ original stars Patrick Duffy and Linda Gray.

Pardo to Participate at This Year’s PaleyFest

“You say you want a Revolution…” And J.D. Pardo and his fellow Revolution cast mates are ready to deliver.

The 32-year-old Latino actor, Daniella Alonso and several members of the cast of NBC’s freshman post-apocalyptic sci-fi drama series will appear at the 30th annual The William S. Paley Television Festival, PaleyFest.

Pardo, Alonso and the gang will be panelists at the TV fan fest on Saturday, March 2 at 7:00 pm PT at a discussion moderated by TV Guide’s LA Bureau Chief Michael Schneider.

But Pardo and Alonso aren’t the only Latinos who’ll appear at the Paleyfest, which takes place from March 1-15 at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills.

Once Upon a Time’s Lana Parrilla will be one of the panelists at ABC’s fairy tale drama’s panel on Sunday, March 3; DallasJordana Brewster and Julie Gonzalo will participate in the TNT series’ panel on Sunday, March 10.

Gonzalo’s “Dallas” Gets Picked Up for a Second Season

It’s official… Julie Gonzalo’s character on TNT’s Dallas reboot will live to scheme another day…

TNT has renewed Dallas, which stars the 30-year-old Argentine-American actress as Rebecca Sutter and 32-year-old Brazilian-American actress Jordana Brewster, for a second season.

Dallas will return in 2013 with 15 new episodes.

Dallas has been a success for us on every level: pitch-perfect writing, smart directing and buzz-worthy performances by a new generation of stars and their iconic counterparts,” said Michael Wright, president, head of programming for TNT.

Kicking off with a two-hour premiere earlier this month, Dallas posted the highest scripted series premiere on all cable channel for the year-to-date. And it continues performing well, averaging 6.9 million viewers so far.

Gonzalo previously starred on Eli Stone and Veronica Mars.

Even though it isn’t set to premiere until next summer, the anticipation for TNT’s upcoming reboot of the TV series Dallas is reaching a fever pitch!

The cable network has released a brand new trailer featuring interviews with the cast—including its two Latina stars Jordana Brewster and Julie Gonzalo—sharing their views about bringing back the classic show.

Based on the popular nighttime soap opera that aired from 1978 to 1991, Dallas focuses on bitter rivalries and family power struggles within a Texas oil and cattle-ranching dynasty. 31-year-old part-Brazilian actress Brewster (Fast & Furious) will star as Elena, a woman involved in a love triangle between Bobby Ewing’s adopted son Christopher and J.R. Ewing’s son John Ross. Meanwhile, 31-year-old Argentinean actress Gonzalo (Veronica Mars) will appear as Christopher’s fiancée Rebecca.

Along with Brewster and Gonzalo, the reboot stars Josh Henderson, Jesse Metcalfe, Jordana Brewster and Brenda Strong, as well as original Dallas cast members Larry Hagman as J.R. Ewing, Patrick Duffy and Linda Gray.

The trailer features plenty of drama, as well as interviews with the cast talking about the impact that the original show had on television.

The 10-episode season of Dallas is set to premiere in the summer of 2012.

Carlos Bernard will be leaving Miami soon en route to Dallas

The 49-year-old part-Spanish-American actor—currently appearing on CBSCSI: Miamihas signed on to appear in a recurring role on TNT’s highly anticipated reboot of the famed 1980s primetime soap opera Dallas, which will focus on the Ewing offspring as they clash over the family dynasty.

Best known for his role as Tony Almeida on FOX’s hit series 24, Bernard will make his grand entrance at Southfork Ranch early in the season. He’ll play a charming businessman from Venezuela who comes to Dallas to work out a deal with the notorious J.R. Ewing, played by Larry Hagman.
