In addition to going on tour, Los Tigres del Norte—Jorge Hernández, Eduardo Hernández, Luis Hernández and Oscar Lara—will premiere their upcoming EP, named after the tour, on December 3. The set will include six tracks, including the previously released title track.

Known as la voz del pueblo, Los Tigres del Norte have consistently spoken out against issues that directly impact the Latinx community. Through lyrics, documentaries and activism, the norteño band — whose career spans over five decades — has explored topics like immigration, gun violence and, most recently, cash bail reform.

Los Tigres del Norte Release New Family-Themed Single “La Reunión”

Los Tigres del Norte are celebrating la familia

The legendary Mexican American norteño band has blessed fans with a new single titled “La Reunión,” a song that captures the essence of family in the Latin community.

“Welcome to your house, my brothers. Hugging each other was necessary especially now that we are all alive and in good health. Cheers to that,” brothers Jorge and Hernan Hernández sing.

Penned by Eduardo García Márquez, “La Reunión” is a preview of Los Tigres del Norte’s forthcoming album due in the fall.

As always, the band’s new song comes with a poignant message: a call for family unity and forgiving mistakes in order to build a strong foundation of love for their children.

After the band’s longest touring hiatus, “Los Jefes de Jefes” will soon celebrate another reunion, this time with their fans in the upcoming U.S. tour set to kick off September 10 in Kentucky.
