Maria Becerra Becomes First Latin Artist to Join 300 Entertainment’s Roster

Maria Becerra has 300 reasons to celebrate…

The 20-year-old rising Argentinian singer-songwriter has signed with 300 Entertainment, home to artists including Megan Thee Stallion and Fetty Wap.

A promising act in the urban-pop scene in her native Argentina, Becerra becomes the first Latin artist to join the indie label’s roster. 

“When we were finalizing everything just a few months ago, I couldn’t believe it,” says Becerra, who cites Rihanna as her biggest inspiration.

“I did some research on them and the artists they have and realized that the 300 team can help me get to where I want to get in the future,” she adds. 

Although the future is hard to imagine amid a global pandemic, “I just want my music to be listened to worldwide and become a leading female voice in Argentina,” continues Becerra, who boasts of more than 1 million monthly listeners on Spotify and has 2.5 million followers on Instagram.

Fifth Harmony Wins Two Moonmen at the MTV Video Music Awards

It’s double the treble for Lauren Jauregui, Camila Cabello and Ally Brooke Hernandez

The Latina singers and their fellow Fifth Harmony members won two Moonmen at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards.

The all-girl group took home the trophy for Best Collaboration for their hit single “Work from Home,” featuring Ty Dolla $ign.

Additionally, Fifth Harmony won Song of Summer for their single “All in My Head,” featuring Fetty Wap.

The X Factor finalists now have three career wins at the MTV VMAs. They’d previously won the award for Artist To Watch at the 2014 awards show.

Beyonce ruled the night with a show-stopping performance and more awards than any other artist at the show.

The 28-year-old part-Spanish singer, songwriter, producer and dancer directed and performed in her Calvin Klein undies to an extended version of her own single “Good to Love.”

FKA Twigs is one of the celebrities featured in Calvin Klein’s latest #mycalvins ad campaign. Other stars featured in the campaign include Kendrick LamarFetty Wap, Joey Bada$$ and Justin Bieber.

To publicize the campaign, the singer performed alongside dancer Kaner Flex in a sensual black-and-white video.

The singer was able to promote everything from jeans to underwear in the four-and-a-half-minute clip.
