Lopez to Launch Viva Movil, a Chain of Wireless Retail Stores

Jennifer Lopez is expanding her empire to include telecommunications…

The 43-year-old Puerto Rican singer/actress, who recently released the music video for her latest collaboration with Pitbull Live It Up,” has announced the upcoming launch of a chain of cellphone stores that will be an authorized reseller of Verizon products.

Jennifer Lopez

Lopez is the majority owner of Viva Movil, a project she began working on 18 months ago after Verizon reached out to her as part of its bid to target the Hispanic community, whose purchasing power is expected to grow to $1.5 trillion by 2015.

“It was an idea that excited me,” Lopez told Efe in an interview at an event in Las Vegas to announce plans to launch the wireless reseller.

Lopez said customers would be able to buy telephones, tablets and accessories via the getviva.com portal, directly on Facebook or at any of the 15 Viva Movil stores to be opened in New York, Los Angeles and Miami.

The “On The Floor” singer said the stores would cater to Hispanic customers, with a focus on the family.

“Latinos like to go shopping with the family and at our store there will be a kids play area. All the staff that work there will have to speak English and Spanish,” Lopez, who was involved in designing the stores and Viva Movil brand accessories such as smartphone cases, told Efe.

The first store will be opened at an undisclosed busy intersection in Manhattan on June 15.

Mars Leads the Pack of All-Star Latino Performers at the Billboard Music Awards

He may not have claimed any trophies, but Bruno Mars still managed to make his mark at this year’s Billboard Music Awards.

Bruno Mars

The 27-year-old part-Puerto Rican singer-songwriter, who was nominated for four awards, kicked off the three-hour show at the MGM Grand Garden Arena with a high-octane performance.

Mars, dressed to the nines as usual, took the stage to perform his latest single “Treasure.”

But Mars wasn’t the only Latino performer of the night…

Selena Gomez performed her catchy single “Come and Get It” on the show.

The song, the first single off the 20-year-old half-Mexican American singer-actress’ upcoming album recently made its way into the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Jennifer Lopez, the night’s best-dressed artist on the red carpet, had the world seeing red…

The 43-year-old Puerto Rican singer/actress busted a move on stage while performing her latest single “Live It Up” alongside Pitbull during the show.

The song, her third single with the Cuban rap superstar, is already generating serious buzz, especially after the release of the official music video for the track.

Miguel, meantime, made a splash at the Billboard Music Awards when he  landed on top of an unsuspecting audience member while taking the stage.

During his performance of his hit single “Adorn”, the 27-year-old half-Mexican American R&B artist jumped and landed his crotch smack on top of a girl in the crowd. Later, he also appeared to kick another girl in the head after jamming out to his hit.

“got caught up in the moment, thank goodness Khyati is okay” Miguel tweeted after his performance.

Last but certainly not least… Christina Aguilera showed off her slimmer physique f while performing at the awards show.

The 32-year-old half-Ecuadorian singer and returning The Voice coach joined Pitbull on stage to perform their song “Feel This Moment” during the show.

Aguilera and Mr. 305 were later joined by A-ha singer Morten Harket. The duo sample A-ha’s “Take On Me” in their hit single.

Lopez Releases the Official “Live It Up” Music Video

Following a high-octane beach shoot in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Jennifer Lopez has released the official music video for her latest single “Live It Up.”

The Jessy Terrero-directed clip, features the 43-year-old Puerto Rican singer/actress and Pitbull dressed to the nines while frolicking all over Florida.

Jennifer Lopez

The four-and-a-half-minute clip opens with Lopez, dressed in a black showgirl costume, being fussed over by her team of make-up artists and wardrobe assistants when she gets a call from track collaborator Pitbull, who then breaks out into his rap intro surrounded by scantily-clad women on the beachfront.

When it’s her turn to drop her verse on the track, she struts her stuff on the runway with two of her back-up dancers.

After her show stopping song-and-dance number, a slew of runway models follow suit, working the catwalk in their designer gowns, and this is where America’s Next Top Model star Eva Marcille works her magic.

But not a moment longer, J. Lo reappears in a bright red ensemble of thigh-high leather boots and a swimsuit-cut outfit with feathered sleeves that reveal her assets.

After her catwalk invasion, Lopez then meets up with Pitbull for a rocking beach party. Then for a grand finish, J. Lo goes back onstage with her crew of back-up dancers, showing off the moves that viewers first saw them perform during her live performance on “Idol”, before re-appearing in beachwear and blowing a kiss towards the camera wearing yellow lipstick.

Lopez Releases New Single “Live It Up” Featuring Pitbull

Jennifer Lopez is livin’ it up with Pitbull… And, she’s urging you to do the same.

Only a few days after filming the music video in Florida, the 43-year-old Puerto Rican singer/actress has released her new single “Live It Up“, the first single from her next album, which she’s currently working on with Chris Brown.

Jennifer Lopez

The 43-year-old entertainer teams up again with Pitbull, after two successful collaborations, “On the Floor” in 2011 and “Dance Again” last year, making “Live It Up” their third “annual” track together.

With the new four-minute up-tempo track, Lopez drops another potential dance floor smash, a lively RedOne production that features Pitbull’s bilingual rhyming skills delivered over a high-energy electro-beat.

While Mr. 305 preaches, “Make love. Don’t fight. Let’s f*** tonight,” J.Lo declares. “We can do anything we want / live it up / we ain’t stopping ’till we’re done / live it up.”

The lyric video makes for a fitting preview of the forthcoming music video, with all the tropical shots and colorful images shown in quick succession to go along with the fast beat of the new song.

Soon enough, fans will get to see J.Lo in her usual well-toned glory and Pitbull in his signature suit outfit with matching shades fit for the beach setting for the new music video they’ve shot with a sexy models like America’s Next Top Model alum Eva Marcille.

Lopez is expected to perform the new single when she appears on the 2013 Billboard Music Awards on May 19 and likewise on the American Idol season finale when she returns to the show as a musical guest in a couple of weeks.

Lopez’s “American Idol” Finale Appearance Part of a Plan to Bring Her Back Next Season?

Could Jennifer Lopez’s appearance on the American Idol finale be part of a greater plan to get her to return to the judges’ table?

As previously reported, the 43-year-old Puerto Rican singer/actress will perform on the Fox reality singing competition’s season 12 finale on May 16.

Jennifer Lopez

Lopez will allegedly perform her new single “Live It Up” from her eighth album. The singer’s album is being released through RedOne’s 2101 label that’s distributed by Capitol Music, which signed her to a big new record deal.

Lopez’s return, according to Deadline.com, is reportedly part of the network’s master plan to bring Lopez back to the show next year after the unsuccessful addition of Mariah Carey this season.

”Fox is chasing her. They want her back. She has not made her mind up about it. She is on the fence,” a source told Deadline.com. “They wanted her to replace Mariah. There was no way she was going to do that. They started talking to her hard about next year. She really liked doing it but big question if she should do it again.”

Lopez Films “Live It Up” Music Video in Ft. Lauderdale

Prepare to be inspired to live it up… with a little help from Jennifer Lopez

The 43-year-old Puerto Rican singer/actress was in Fort Lauderdale Beach, Florida this past weekend shooting the official music video for her new single “Live It Up,” which features Mr. 305 himself Pitbull.

Pitbull

There’s no doubt that La Lopez will be showing off her taut body, after seeing the photos taken during the video shoot.

For the music video, Lopez wears a blue-green kaftan on top of her black bikini. She even matches the teal color of Pitbull’s trademark suit.

Lopez’s video will feature a bevy of sexy underwear models, including America’s Next Top Model alum Eva Marcille, who wore a black two-piece herself paired with six-inch high heels that showed off her great bod.

Lopez’s video shoot made headlines for more than the eye-catching outfits though…

Noise that sounded like gunshots was heard near the set while J.Lo was reportedly in the middle of an interview, and her security whisked her away to safety inside her car. Police who responded to the scene said there was no evidence that actual shots were fired, and similarly there were no witnesses and no injuries reported.

Lopez to Perform on the “American Idol” Finale

Jennifer Lopez is heading back to the American Idol stage…

The 43-year-old Puerto Rican singer/actress, who will perform at this year’s Billboard Music Awards, will reportedly return to American Idol for the first time since ending her judging stint last year.

Jennifer Lopez

La Lopez will perform on one night of this season’s two-part finale, according to E!.

Lopez will take the stage in front of current judges Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj, Keith Urban and Randy Jackson on either May 15 or 16.

J. Lo shared the judges panel with Jackson and Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler for two seasons.

While a song hasn’t been confirmed for the performance, Lopez will presumably play “Live It Up,” the first single from her next album, which will be released on May 8.

Like previous hits “On The Floor” and “Dance Again” — both of which were performed on the Idol stage — “Live It Up” was produced by RedOne and features Pitbull.
