Camilo is celebrating his first in a special way…

The 28-year-old Colombian singer, musician and songwriter, a Latin Grammy winner and Grammy nominee, is the latest music star to land a concert special and documentary at HBO.

CamiloCamilo: El Primer Tour De Mi Vida will premiere on Friday, November 18 at 10:00 pm ET/PT on HBO Latino and HBO Max in the U.S. and Latin America.

The special will cover Camilo as he embarks on his first world tour — the “Mis Manos” tour — which was originally delayed due to the Covid pandemic.

The tour kicks off in Spain and will feature appearances by Fito y Los Fitipaldis, Dani Martín, Mau y Ricky, Pablo Alborán and Nicky Nicole.

It will also reveal behind-the-scenes moments about bringing hits like “Tutu,” “Mareado,” “Por Primera Vez,” “Bebé,” “Ropa Cara,” “Tattoo,” and “Kesi” to his global fan base known affectionately as La Tribu.

Additionally, he and his wife and fellow artist Evaluna Montaner will offer a window into their life and special moments.

“We made this documentary with a deep desire to capture the first tour of my life and all the experiences we lived during the beautiful journey through 48 cities and 64 concerts. The ‘Mis Manos’ tour was a dream come true, especially because it gave me the chance to meet La Tribu face to face, the community born from digital encounters during the pandemic,” Camilo tells Deadline.

Camilo is a rising star in Latin music who boasts more than 5 billion views across all digital platforms around the world and more than 29 million followers on TikTok. He became the most nominated and awarded artist at the 22nd annual Latin Grammy Awards and broke sales records during the 2021 tour in Europe, U.S., Mexico and Colombia.

Prior to launching his career as a solo artist, Camilo wrote and produced multiple hits including “Sin Pijama” for Becky G and Natti Natasha; “Mi Mala” for his brothers-in-law, Mau y Ricky and Karol G; and “Si Estuviésemos Juntosfor Bad Bunny among others.

Camilo Enlists Shawn Mendes for Bilingual “Kesi” Remix

Camilo’s latest single is getting a major assist…

The 27-year-old Colombian singer/songwriter has joined voices with Shawn Mendes for the newly released bilingual version of Camilo’s ultra tropical love anthem “Kesi.”

It’s the first time the pair has worked together, and the moment was made possible after Mendes reached out to Camilo over DM.

“I was like listening to, I heard KESI And I was like, I’m obsessed with this song. I’m just going to, I slid in his DMS and I was like, ‘Please let me do a verse on this song because I’m obsessed with it,'” the “Señorita” singer told Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1.

Camilo said in a statement that he wasn’t planning on releasing a remix of “Kesi,” off his chart-topping Mis Manos album, but when Mendes proposed the idea, it was an immediate yes.

“Being a big fan of his music, the pure idea of hearing him singing in Spanish is something that made me so excited. The fact that he decided to sing in our language for the first time in his career on a song with me is one of the greatest honors I’ve had in my career as an artist.”

The remix stays true to the original sounds rooted in traditional champeta, a genre that originates from the coast of Colombia. The twist comes comes near the remix’s minute-mark with Mendes singing a verse in English, and then transitions to Spanish to sing the chorus: “If you tell me right now that you want me by your side, that would be beautiful … but you don’t tell me kesi (yes).”

This release comes as Camilo embarks on his global Mis Manos Tour, which kicked off in Spain and includes 16 sold out dates in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.

Camilo Launching U.S. Leg of “Mis Manos Tour” in October

Camilo is U.S. bound…

The 27-year-old Colombian singer, songwriter and record producer’s highly awaited first-ever tour will hit the U.S. in the fall, where he’ll make pit stops in 14 cities, kicking off October 22 in Miami’s The Fillmore.

Camilo

Dubbed Mis Manos Tour after his recently released album, Camilo, whose full name is Camilo Echeverry, is ecstatic to be hopping on stage for the first time with his five-piece band, including a multi-percussionist, a guitarist/tres/ukulele player, a bass player, keyboardist, and himself playing cuatro and guitars.

“The expectation of looking my fans in the eye, and having them look into my eyes and sing those songs — which are anthems of hope — makes this an almost mystical encounter,” Camilo previously told Billboard.

Though Camilo plans to have special guests on tour, he said a fundamental one would be his wife Evaluna Montaner.

“My music doesn’t exist without Evaluna; more than a guest, she’s a living part of every one of my songs,” he added.

Mis Manos Tour, produced by Loud and Live, will wrap up on December 3 at the Coca-Cola Theater in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
