Film Arcade Acquires U.S. Distribution Rights to Kid Cudi’s “James White”

The Film Arcade has acquired the U.S. distribution rights to the Josh Mond-directed James White, starring the 31-year-old part-Mexican American hip-hop singer/actor, whose real name is Scott Mescudi.

The film is a coming-of-age story about a young New Yorker struggling to take control of his self-destructive behavior in the face of momentous family changes.

James White also stars Christopher Abbott and Cynthia Nixon.

The film premiered at the 2015 Sundance Sundance Film Festival and won the Best of Next Audience Award.

Kid Cudi, who is starring in the film version of HBO’s series Entourage, previously starred in the premium cable network’s series How to Make It in America. He also appeared opposite Aaron Paul in the DreamWorks video game film adaptation Need For Speed.

Kid Cudi to Appear in the Psychological Thriller “Meadowland”

The 30-year-old part-Mexican American hip-hop artist-turned-actor, whose real name is Scott Mescudi, has been cast in the psychological drama Meadowland.

Directed by award-winning cinematographer Reed Morano in her directing debut, the film centers on Sarah (Olivia Wilde) and David (Luke Wilson), a New York couple dealing with the unthinkable after their son disappears.

No word yet on who Kid Cudi will portray in the psychological thriller.

In addition to Kid Cudi, Wilson and Wilde, the film also stars Giovanni Ribisi, Mark Feuerstein, Kevin Corrigan and Juno Temple.

Meadowland is currently in production.

The 30-year-old part-Mexican American singer-songwriter and actor has been cast in the film version of HBO’s hit series Entourage.

Kid Cudi, whose real name is Scott Mescudi, will portray Ari Gold’s (Jeremy Piven) new assistant now that Lloyd (Rex Lee) has moved up to rep.

It’s the latest role on an HBO-based project from Kid Cudi, who previously starred on the cable network’s comedy series How to Make It in America.

He’s about to appear opposite Aaron Paul in the DreamWorks video game adaptation Need For Speed.

Kid Cudi just wrapped the films James White and Two Night Stand.

He’s also set to perform at this year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

Rodriguez’s “Need for Speed” to Open in March 2014

Ramon Rodriguez’s speeding days have been pushed back…

The release of the 33-year-old Puerto Rican actor’s latest film Need for Speed has been pushed back to a later date next year.

The film will now open in U.S. theaters on March 14, 2014, five weeks later than its original release date of February 7, 2014.

Need for Speed will now avoid going up against Warner Bros Lego and Sony/Columbia’s Robocop and so far has the March 14th spot to itself.

The Scott Waugh-directed action flick focuses on ’70s-style fast-paced, high-octane cars and Tobey Marshall (portrayed by Aaron Paul), who races at impossible speeds from New York to LA to get revenge on the man who killed his best friend.

It also stars Kid Cudi, Dominic Cooper and Imogen Poots.

Rodriguez, who starred as Bosley in ABC’s short-lived reboot of Charlie’s Angles, appeared in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and The Taking of Pelham 123.

The 28-year-old part-Mexican American singer/music producer-turned-actor has been cast in DreamWorksNeed for Speed, the film adaptation of the EA video game to be directed by Scott Waugh.

Need for Speed, which stars Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul, Dominic Cooper and Imogen Poots on ’70s-style fast-paced high-octane cars. Paul plays Tobey Marshall, who races cross country at impossible speeds from New York to Los Angeles to get revenge on the man who killed his best friend.

Mescudi will play Paul’s best friend in the film.

Kid Cudi, as he’s known in the music world, made his acting debut in HBO’s How To Make It In America and most recently appeared in the indie film Two Night Stand. He’s also had a guest-starring roles on The Cleveland Show and One Tree Hill.

Mescudi, who has worked with Kanye West, David Guetta and most recently Jaden Smith, has contributed to soundtracks for DreamWorks’ Fright Night and The Hunger Games, which earned him an MTV Movie Award nod.
