“If you’ve ever been to a Backstreet Boys show… it’s going to be that on steroids,” says Brian Littrell.

“We’re going to call the show Larger Than Life, and we’re taking that theme and we’re going to run with it,” adds Kevin Richardson.

The show, split between March and June/July runs, is a joint venture between Caesars Entertainment and Live Nation, and promises to be a “one-of-a-kind, over-the-top” production featuring the Grammy-winning group’s greatest hits and more.

The quintet’s arrival in Las Vegas cements a burgeoning era of pop music residencies on The Strip, with acts including Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez having breathed new life into traditional residency set-ups in recent years.

“The AXIS marked a new era of entertainment, bringing the first pop music residencies to the famed Las Vegas Strip,” says Jason Gastwirth, Caesars Entertainment senior vice president of marketing and entertainment. “Introducing the Backstreet Boys further solidifies our reputation as a premier destination for live entertainment.”

Tickets for the shows will start at $39, plus fees and taxes, and go on sale at 10am on October 1st, with various pre-sales kicking off from Monday.

The dates are:

March 2017: 1, 3, 4, 8, 10, 11, 15, 17, 18
June 2017: 14, 16, 17, 21, 23, 24, 28, 30

Lopez to Bring “So You Think You Can Dance” Winner to Her Las Vegas Residency

Jennifer Lopez is paying it forward…

The 46-year-old Puerto Rican singer, actress and American Idol judge, who got her first regular high-profile job as a Fly Girl dancer on Fox’s In Living Color in 1991, will give a little love to the winner of this season’s So You Think You Can Dance.

Jennifer Lopez

Lopez has announced the winner will have the chance to dance with her at her Las Vegas residency.

“So excited to be bringing this year’s winner of #SYTYCD with me to #TheAxis @PHVegas!!! #LetsGetIt #JLoVegas,” tweeted Lopez.

“Whether it is a stage or street dancer, I know you are going to choose someone to rip it because all of the dancers this year are sensational,” she told SYTYCD voters in a taped announcement following the group number on the Fox competition.

As previously reported, Lopez is set to premiere her residency starting on January 20 at Axis theater stage in Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino (a part of Caesar’s Entertainment).

“It’s really an exciting prospect for me to create the quintessential Jennifer Lopez experience in Vegas,” she told Billboard. “It’s just an opportunity that is overwhelming and at the same time the most exciting thing that has happened to me in a long time, so I’m giving it all I have.”

The show is getting closer to finding a winner. Last night dancers JJ Rabone and Edson Juarez were sent home.
