Jacon Elordi is celebrating his first-ever Golden Globes nominations…

Nominees for the 2026 Golden Globe Awards have been announced, with the 28-year-old Spanish-Australian actor earning two nods.

Jacob Elordi,In the film section, Elordi is nominated in the best performance by a male actor in a supporting role for his performance in Frankenstein.

In the television section, Elordi is up for best performance by a male actor in a limited series, anthology series or movie made for television for his performance in The Narrow Road to the Deep North.

Oscar Isaac, who won a Golden Globe in 2016, has earned his fourth career nod.

The 46-year-old Cuban-Guatemalan picked up a nod in the best performance by a male actor in a motion picture, drama for his role in Frankenstein.

Tessa Thompson has earned the first Golden Globes nomination of her career.

The 42-year-old half-Mexican, part Panamanian American actress is up for best performance by a female actor in a motion picture, drama for her role in Hedda.

Wagner Moura has earned the second Golden Globes nomination of his career.

The 49-year-old Brazilian actor and filmmaker is nominated in the best performance by a male actor in a motion picture, drama for his role in the Brazilian Portuguese historical political thriller The Secret Agent.

Guillermo del Toro, a two-time Golden Globe winner, is up for two awards this year.

The 61-year-old Mexican Oscar-winning filmmaker is up for best motion picture, drama and best director for Frankenstein.

Benicio del Toro is nominated in the best performance by a male actor in a supporting role category for his role in One Battle After Another, which is this year’s leading nominee.

Diego Luna is back in the running for a Golden Globe.

The Mexican actor, director and producer has picked up his second consecutive nod in the Bbest performance by a male actor, drama category for his portrayal of Cassian Andor in Rogue One.Selena Gomez and Jenna Ortega will once again face off in the best performance by a female actor TV series, musical or comedy.

Gomez is nominated for for the fourth consecutive time for her role in Only Murders in the Building, as well as for the fifth consecutive time for best television series – musical or comedy for serving as a producer on the series.

Ortega, meantime, earned her second nod for her work on Wednesday.

Here’s the list of nominees for this year’s awards, which will be held on January 11 at the Beverly Hilton. Nikki Glaser will host the ceremony.

Jacob Elordi is the top dog for a coveted role…

The 27-year-old half-Spanish Australian actor is in early talks to lead The Dog Stars, Ridley Scott’s post-apocalyptic thriller for 20th Century Studios, based on the 2012 novel by Peter Heller.

Jacob Elordi,Elordi looks to step in for Scott’s Gladiator II star, Paul Mescal, who was forced to depart due to scheduling conflicts after being tapped to star in Sam Mendes’ Beatles anthology, where he’s rumored to be playing Paul McCartney.

Scott first hinted at the possibility of Mescal’s exit in a December conversation with filmmaker Christopher Nolan on Gladiator II.

Set in a near future where an unnamed pandemic has decimated American society, The Dog Stars will have Elordi playing Hig, a civilian pilot living a lonely life on an abandoned Colorado airbase with his dog and a tough ex-marine. The two men couldn’t be more mismatched but depend on each other to fend off roaming invaders. When a random transmission beams through the radio of his 1956 Cessna, the voice ignites a hope deep inside the pilot that a better life exists outside their tightly controlled perimeter. Risking everything, he flies past his point of no return and follows its static-broken trail.

Mark L. Smith penned the script for the film, which is the next on Scott will direct.

Known for starring on HBO’s Euphoria, Elordi is due to shoot that series’ final season next year, along with Emerald Fennell’s Wuthering Heights for Warner Bros, where he stars opposite Margot Robbie.

This year, he’ll be seen playing the title role in Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein for Netflix.

Other upcoming projects include On Swift Horses, the Daniel Minahan drama co-starring Daisy Edgar-Jones, which premiered at TIFF, and Prime Video’s Australian miniseries The Narrow Road to the Deep North.

Jacob Elordi is hitting the road north…

The 26-year-old half-Spanish Australian actor is starring opposite Ciarán Hinds and Odessa Young in the Prime Video Australia Original series The Narrow Road to the Deep North, a television adaptation of Richard Flanagan’s Booker Prize-winning novel of the same name.

Also rounding out the cast are Olivia DeJonge, Heather Mitchell, Thomas Weatherall, Show Kasamatsu, Charles An and Simon Baker.

Elordi returned home to Australia to play the lead role of the younger Dorrigo Evans in the 1940s. Young will portray Amy Mulvaney, DeJonge will portray younger Ella and Baker will portray Keith. Fast-forward to the 1980s, the series will feature Hinds as the older Dorrigo and Mitchell as older Ella. Weatherall will portray Frank Gardiner, Kasamatsu will portray Major Nakamura and Charles An will portray The Goanna.

Set against the shadows of World War II, The Narrow Road to the Deep North tells the epic story of Lieutenant Dorrigo Evans, and how his all-too-brief love affair with Amy Mulvaney shaped his life. The story is told over multiple time periods, as we journey from Evans’ childhood to his experience as a prisoner-of-war on the Thailand-Burma Railway as a young man, and later in life, as a respected surgeon and Australian war hero.

According to a release, the series is a love story to sustain audiences through the darkest of times, an intimate character study illustrating the strength of the human spirit in the face of adversity, and an investigation into a marriage and an unforgettable love affair.

The series will launch on Prime Video in Australia, New Zealand and Canada and will be distributed internationally by Sony Pictures Television. It is produced by Curio Pictures in Australia. Working with Curio Pictures’ executive producers Jo Porter and Rachel Gardner.

The Narrow Road to the Deep North is adapted by writer Shaun Grant and will be directed by Justin Kurzel, both of whom are also executive producers. Alexandra Taussig is producing.

Jacob Elordi has narrowed down his next project…

The 24-year-old Spanish-Australian actor and Euphoria star will serve as the lead in Justin Kurzel and Shaun Grant’s limited series adaptation of Richard Flanagan’s Booker Prize-winning novel The Narrow Road to the Deep North.

Jacob Elordi,Kurzel and Grant’s adaptation had been in development with Fremantle for several years but Sony Pictures Television has taken rights and Sony’s recently-launched Australian label Curio Pictures will produce.

Elordi, who is best known for playing Nate in HBO smash hit Euphoria, will play Dorrigo Evans, an army surgeon whose brief love affair with Amy, the young wife of his uncle, sustains and haunts him through his darkest days as the reluctant leader of men prisoners in a Thai-Burmese camp during World War II.

The book won the 2014 Booker Prize and was critically acclaimed for its themes of war, marriage and love.

Kurzel is directing, Grant is writing and the pair are executive-producing alongside Flanagan, Porter and Rachel Gardner.

“The character of Dorrigo Evans requires a multi-layered actor who can bring strength, sensitivity and charisma to the role – qualities Jacob has in spades,” said Porter. “Together with the creative powerhouses of Justin Kurzel and Shaun Grant, there couldn’t be a more exciting team to bring this important novel to life.”

Elordi broke out in Netflix YA smash The Kissing Booth. He starred in Euphoria creator Sam Levinson, Zach Helm and Adrian Lyne’s Hulu feature Deep Water earlier this year and is playing Elvis Presley in Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla opposite Cailee Spaeny.
