Matos Lands Recurring Role on the CW’s “Hart of Dixie”

Eddie Matos won’t just be whistlin’ Dixie…

The 41-year-old Puerto Rican actor has joined the third season of the CW’s Hart of Dixie, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Matos, an All My Children and General Hospital alum, will appear in a recurring role with potential romantic implications.

Matos will play Enrique, the “gorgeous” Latino driver for Grandma Bettie Breeland (Maree Cheatham), who is saving money to attend poetry school. Described as passionate, charming and incredibly romantic, Enrique attempts to win the heart of one of the Bluebell ladies.

Matos’ other television credits include guest spots on Psych, Awake, Ghost Whisperer and House.

Hart of Dixie returns on January 13 on the CW.

LaRue to Guest-Star on CBS’ “Criminal Minds”

Eva LaRue is about to get downright criminal

The 46-year-old part-Puerto Rican actress will guest-star on CBS’ long-running police procedural Criminal Minds.

LaRue, who most recently portrayed lab rat-turned-investigator Natalia Boa Vista on CSI: Miami for seven seasons, will portray Agent Mays, according to TVLine.

LaRue tweeted the news to her followers this week, when she also posted a photo of her with series stars Shemar Moore and A.J. Cook. On her Instagram account; she noted she’d had a “great day” on set.

LaRue is best known for portraying Maria Santos on ABC’s All My Children.

Her other television credits include Soul Food and Third Watch.

Criminal Minds‘ ninth season premieres on September 25 at 9:00 pm.

Lozano’s “One Life to Live” to Air on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network

OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network has acquired the first 40 episodes of The OnLine Network’s revivals of the 43-year-old half-Argentinean actress’ daytime drama One Life to Live.

The program will include a 10-week limited engagement that will bring the cancelled ABC daytime dramas back to daytime.

Half-hour episodes of each show will air Monday through Thursday beginning Monday, July 15 with All My Children at 1 PM and One Life to Live at 3 PM.

“These shows have proven to be very popular with a significant, loyal fan base, not to mention Oprah herself is a big fan,” said Erik Logan, president, OWN. Added Jeff Kwatinetz, CEO of the soaps’ producer Prospect Park.

“We are really excited to bring OWN viewers and our audience at large an opportunity to catch up on All My Children and One Life to Live on traditional television.”

The 43-year-old half-Argentinean-American actress will be starring in the online revival of One Life to Live; and from the looks of the new preview video released by The Online Network her beloved character Téa Delgado will be shedding tears again!

Lozano and her OLTL cast mates returned earlier this year to begin filming new scenes in their fictional town of Llanview.

One Life To Live and All My Children are set to make their debut on Hulu, HuluPlus and iTunes on April 29th.

JWOWW to Appear in Recurring Role on “One Life to Live”

It looks like Jenni “JWOWW” Farley is leaving the Jersey Shore and moving to Llanview…

The 27-year-old Spanish/Irish American reality television star has signed on to appear in a recurring role on the online re-launch of the soap opera One Life to Live.

Farley will portray Nikki, the newest bartender at Llanview’s trendy nightclub Shelter, which is owned by Blair Cramer (Kassie DePaiva).

Her character is described as someone “who can mix an Alabama Slammer as well as she can flirt with the customers.”

The Online Network, which is producing online versions of All My Children and One Life to Live, recently announced that the revamped soaps will be available for free on Hulu.com, Hulu Plus and iTunes. New 30-minute episodes of each show will premiere each weekday on the online platforms.

The online versions of the daytime sudsers will premiere on Monday, April 29.

Prospect Park has confirmed that the revived ABC soap operas One Life to Live, starring the half-Argentinean-American actress, and All My Children will make their debut on the company’s The Online Network on Monday, April 29.

Lozano will be returning to One Life to Live to reprise her role as Téa Delgado, a fan favorite.

Both soaps will air 30-minute episodes in broadcast quality and for free on TOLN partners Hulu and iTunes.

“I am so pleased that our dream of bringing these two series back to life is coming to fruition,” said Agnes Nixon, the creator and creative consultant for both daytime dramas.

Rodriguez to Serve as Oscars “Backstage Pass” Correspondent

On Oscar Sunday, the Backstage Pass feature goes live from the red carpet to the end of the show.

Yara Martinez has been cast as Adriana De Portago, a beautiful Cuban-American billionaire heiress looking for a good time with new beau, Consuelos’ character.

Consuelos recently appeared in a recurring role on FX’s American Horror Story: Asylum and NBC’s Guys with Kids.

Cuban beauty Martinez has had recurring roles on ABC Family’s The Lying Game, ABC’s Nashville and TNT’s Southland.

Vilasuso to Report for “All My Children” Duty on February 25

Prospect Park’s The Online Network has announced plans to commence production on February 25 on the highly-anticipated revivals of former ABC soap operas One Life to Live and All My Children, on which 31-year-old Cuban-American actor will reprise his role as Griffin Castillo.

Principal production for both sudsers will take place in Stamford, Connecticut with new episodes of All My Children and One Life to Life set to debut later this spring.

Prospect Park revealed its plans to re-introduce the beloved vanguard franchises earlier this year, through a groundbreaking content deal that will bring premium first-run, broadcast-quality programming to a mass market audience via the internet.

Brand new 30-minute episodes of both soap operas will be launched each weekday and made available for streaming online via the free Hulu.com service and to subscribers of Hulu Plus. In addition, the iTunes Store will offer both series via iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Apple TV and Mac or PC.

Breathing new life into the storied franchises, Prospect Park and TOLN will blend updated themes and fresh faces with the fan-favorite Emmy-winning actors and writers who made these series must-watch viewing for legions of loyal fans.

Vilasuso to Reprise Role on “All My Children” Online Revival

The 31-year-old Cuban-American actor has signed on to reprise his role as Griffin Castillo on the online version of ABC’s cancelled soap opera All My Children.

The announcement comes on the heels of a deal between Prospect Park and Hollywood unions to resume production of One Life to Live and All My Children online in February.

Other returning cast members include Darnell Williams, Debbi Morgan, Lindsay Hartley, Jill Larson, Thorsten Kaye and Vincent Irizarry.

Vilasuso, who won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series for his portrayal of Tony Santos on Guiding Light in 2003, most recently guest-starred on NBC’s Parks and Recreation.

Earlier this month, Prospect Park announced plans to revive the cancelled ABC soaps after confirming deals with SAG-AFTRA and the DGA — sticking points in previous talks — and inking the soaps’ creator Agnes Nixon to a consulting agreement.
