The 32-year-old Honduran American actress has collaborate with fashion designer Rebecca Minkoff to create a special t-shirt aimed at inspiring women to vote in the 2016 presidential election.
Ferrera has been extremely vocal about the importance of getting out and voting, especially among millennials.
The shirt reads Make America Ferrera Again and it’s aim is to show everyone the impact their voices, especially during this important election.
The shirts are available at www.rebeccaminkoff.com and are available in stores in New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles. The limited edition item retails for $48 and a portion of all the proceeds will go to Rock the Vote.
“It is important to show up for yourself and know, especially inside the Latino community, that we have so much power, we have so much potential that we could exercise by using our voices in the voting booth. And I think that when we show up and we decide to represent ourselves in the voting booth is when things will change for Latin American communities in the United States, so we need to show up for ourselves and exercise that power,” she has said before.

That brings the sitcom’s Season 2 to a full-season 22 episodes.
As a midseason entry last season, Superstore got a 13-episode second-season order last spring but recently received a pickup for nine additional scripts in anticipation of a Back 9 episodic order.

In its initial season in live+7, Superstore averaged a 2.1 rating in 18-49 and 6.6 million viewers overall, making it NBC’s top-rated new comedy since the 2013-14 season.
Superstore centers around Amy (Ferrera), the megastore’s most stalwart employee as well as the glue holding the place together, and newly hired Jonah (Ben Feldman). Their fellow associates include the sardonic Garrett (Colton Dunn), the ambitious Mateo (Nico Santos) and the sweet teenager Cheyenne (Nichole Bloom). Overseeing them all are store manager Glenn (Mark McKinney) and assistant manager Dina (Lauren Ash).
The 59-year-old Cuban singer-songwriter and her husband, Emilio Estefan, have been named as honorary co-chairs of Univision and Fusion Media Group‘s “Rise Up as One” event — a two-day celebration of music, diversity and unity, taking place on October 14 and 15.

The Television Academy has announced the second group of presenters for the 68th Emmy Awards, with the 32-year-old Honduran American actress making the list.
In addition to Ferrera, who won the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series in 2007 for her starring role in Ugly Betty, the list includes Laverne Cox, Tracee Ellis Ross, Kit Harington, Matt LeBlanc, Joel McHale, Chris Rock, Jeffrey Tambor, Kerry Washington and Damon Wayans.
The 68th Emmy Awards, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, will air at 8:00 pm ET/5:00 pm PT on Sunday, September 18 from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
NBC’s only returning comedy series, Superstore, which stars the 32-year-old Honduran American actress, will air an original episode following one night of the network’s 2016 Rio Games coverage.
With that plum lead-in, the episode is likely to snag a “giant audience,” but one that includes “a lot of new viewers who aren’t used to the show,” says executive producer Justin Spitzer.
Because the first season ended in a cliffhanger in which the staff of the superstore walked out, Spitzer said the Olympics episode will be a “bonus stand-alone episode.”
It will take place in the pre-walkout world of the show.
Only when the series returns on September 22 will it pick up where it left off in “real time” with the walkout, Spitzer explained.
The 32-year-old Honduran American actress appears in a special Elizabeth Banks-produced a cappella music video in support of the Democratic Party’s nominee for President of the United States.
In a nod to the Pitch Perfect films she produces, Banks, along with Bruce Cohen and Mike Thompkins, recruited a long list of Hollywood actors and singers, including the former Ugly Betty star, for an a cappella version of Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song.”
In addition to Ferrera, other Hollywood elit appearing in the video include Eva Longoria, Kristin Chenoweth, Rob Reiner, Mandy Moore, Alan Cumming, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Idina Menzel, Renee Fleming, Aisha Tyler, Jane Fonda, Sheryl Crow and, at the very end, Sia with a loud and proud, “Go Hillary.”
Eva Longoria is speaking out against Donald Trump…
The Democratic National Convention kicked off on Monday in Philadelphia with a wide variety of speakers, including the 41-year-old Mexican American actress and former Desperate Housewives star.
Before introducing Senator Cory Booker, Longoria criticized Trump for his comments about Mexican immigrants, for mocking a New York Times reporter with a disability, and for making numerous sexist remarks throughout his campaign and career.
She subsequently referred to Hillary Clinton as “the most qualified presidential candidate ever,” and pointed out that even the convention alone was making history in terms of diversity.
Longoria also repeated a call to action that she has delivered on a number of occasions on behalf of Clinton: “She’s been fighting for us for decades and now it’s time we fight for her.”
Longoria joined several other celebrities at the DNC, which promised to be a star-studded four days.
“Hello Philadelphia! Oh man, I am so honored to be here tonight, and I am proud to say I’m with her!
You know, like many of you, this election is very personal to me. I’m from a small town in South Texas and if you know your history, Texas used to be part of Mexico. Now, I’m 9th generation American. My family never crossed a border — the border crossed us. So when Donald Trump calls us criminals and rapists, he’s insulting American families. My father is not a criminal or rapist. In fact, he’s a United States veteran.
When Trump cruelly mocked a disabled reporter, he was also mocking my special needs sister Lisa, and many like her. When he said that a wife who works is a very dangerous thing, he not only insulted me — he insulted my mother, who worked as a special education teacher for 30 years, raised four children while being a wife!
You know, I believe in the candidate who believes in all of us, and that candidate is Hillary Clinton. Hillary has spent her whole life fighting for all Americans, from healthcare reform to equal pay for women to gun safety to protecting the economy. She is the most qualified presidential candidate ever! She’s been fighting for us for decades and now it’s time we fight for her.
Now I’m very proud to be part of that fight, and I’m very proud to be here to introduce my dear friend Cory Booker, but before I do, I want you to take a look at your convention, Philadelphia. A Latina from South Texas is introducing the first black senator from New Jersey on the week we’ll nominate our first woman candidate for president of the United States! Pretty great. So guess what, Donald? It turns out America is pretty great already. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Sen. Cory Booker.”
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has invited a record 683 people to joins its ranks, including the 32-year-old Honduran American actress, more than double last year’s 322 invitees.
Best known for her Golden Globe-, Screen Actors Guild Award and Emmy-winning role on ABC’s Ugly Betty, Ferrera has also starred in several acclaimed films including Real Women Have Curves, Under the Same Moon, End of Watch, Cesar Chavez and Lords of Dogtown.
The Academy was careful to include a breakdown by gender and race, with the new list comprising of 46% women, including Girl in Progess star Eva Mendes and Fast & Furious star Michelle Rodriguez, and 41% people of color, including Luis Guzman, Oscar Isaac and Spanish director J.A. Bayona.
“We’re proud to welcome these new members to the Academy and know they view this as an opportunity and not just an invitation — a mission and not just a membership,” Academy president Cheryl Boone Isaacs said in a statement. “This class continues our long-term commitment to welcoming extraordinary talent reflective of those working in film today. We encourage the larger creative community to open its doors wider and create opportunities for anyone interested in working in this incredible and storied industry.”
The new invitees include 28 Oscar winners, range in age from 24 to 91 and represent 59 countries.
Other Latinos invited to join AMPAS include Enrique Castillo, Sal Lopez, Marisa Paredes, Jacob Vargas, Daphne Zuniga, Ciro Guerra and Nicole Garcia.
NBC has given an early renewal to midseason comedy Superstorestarring the 31-year-old Honduran American actress.
The comedy joins breakout fall dramaBlindspot, solid new Chicago addition Chicago Med and fellow midseason entryShades of Blue as the freshman NBC series that have already secured Season 2 pickups.
Superstore has done well for NBC, which has struggled in the comedy genre for the past couple of seasons. After a promising ratings start in the preview behind The Voice, Superstore has held up well as the 8:00 pm Monday anchor, pulling in very respectable numbers with no lead-in, both in Live+same day and delayed viewing.
Season to date, Superstore is averaging a 2.1 rating in adults 18-49 and 6.9 million viewers overall in Live+7, making it NBC’s highest rated first-year comedy in two years.
Superstore also delivers an upscale audience, indexing at a 112 among adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes.
Superstore is set behind the scenes of a big box retail megastore, Cloud 9. It centers around Amy (Ferrera), the megastore’s most stalwart employee as well as the glue holding the place together, and newly hired Jonah (Ben Feldman), a naive dreamer determined to prove work doesn’t have to be boring. Their fellow associates include the sardonic Garrett (Colton Dunn), the ambitious Mateo (Nico Santos) and the sweet pregnant teenager Cheyenne (Nichole Bloom). Overseeing them all are Glenn (Mark McKinney), the store’s affable, clueless store manager, and Dina (Lauren Ash), the aggressive assistant manager who lives by a very specific code — namely the store’s employee handbook.
Superstore was created by Justin Spitzer, who serves as an executive producer with director Ruben Fleischer, David Bernad and Gabe Miller & Jonathan Green.
“We’re thrilled to renew a show that’s so incredibly funny and relatable, full of great characters who are brought to life by an amazing cast and creative team,” NBC Entertainment president Jennifer Salke said.
Superstore is produced by Universal Television, Spitzer Holding Company and The District.
The 31-year-old Honduran-American actress will co-star in Ricky Gervais’ Netflix original film Special Correspondents, alongside the comedian and Eric Bana.
Kelly Macdonald, Kevin Pollak, Raúl Castillo and Benjamin Bratt round out the ensemble cast, which was revealed in the first cast photo, released by Netflix.
Gervais wrote and is directing the satirical comedy film for Netflix.
Bana stars as a struggling New York-based radio journalist whose arrogance and lavish lifestyle hinder his career. With his job on the line, he fakes front line war reports from his hideout above a Spanish restaurant in the city.
Principal photography began May 19 in Toronto, and will wrap in New York City on July 3.
Special Correspondents is set to be released on Netflix in 2016.
Next up, Ferrera will star in NBC’s upcoming comedy series Superstore, expected to bow midseason.
