Valenzuela’s “Mi Vida En Vida” Reaches No. 1 on Billboard’s Regional Mexican Albums Chart

Remmy Valenzuela is back at the top of the album charts…

The Mexican singer, songwriter and composer of alternative Amandotecorrido and modern banda music has notched his second No. 1 album on Billboard’s Regional Mexican Albums chart with Mi Vida En Vida.

Valenzuela’s album shifted nearly 2,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. It’s also the highest debut on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart, at No. 3.

Valenzuela, 23, last topped Regional Mexican Albums chart, as well as Top Latin Albums chart, with De Alumno a Maestro in July.

The 23-year-old regional Mexican newcomer claims the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums with De Alumno A Maestro, selling 3,000 first-week copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Valenzuela, known as El Muchacho De La Voz Ronca (The Boy with the Husky Voice), also bullets at its No. 6 peak to date on Billboard’s Regional Mexican Songs with “Te Toco Perder” (5.6 million audience impressions, according to Nielsen BDS).

Last year, he reached No. 32 on the chart with “Te Olvidare,” the title track from his debut album.

Valenzuela started his short musical career at the age of 12 in a group called Los Estudents. By age 13, he was teaching music at his school. Despite his young age, he has shared stages with Los Tucanes De Tijuana, Código FN, Chuy Lizárraga, La Arrolladora Banda El Limón and the late Jenni Rivera.
