Diego Luna to Serve as Guest Host for ABC’s Late Night Show “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Next Week

Diego Luna is ready for his late night close-up…

The 45-year-old Mexican actor, director, and producer is among the A-listers Jimmy Kimmel has lined up to fill in for him during his summer break.

Diego LunaIn addition to Luna, best known for his portrayal of Cassian Andor in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and the Disney+ series Andor, Jimmy Kimmel Live! will also welcome Anthony Anderson, Nicole Byer, Alan Cumming, Chris Distefano, Fortune Feimster, Jelly Roll and Kumail Nanjiani.

Anderson, Byer and Nanjiani have previously guest hosted the show, but it marks new territory for Cumming, Distefano, Feimster, Luna and pop star Jelly Roll.

Luna will kick off proceedings on Monday June 23 with guests including Patton Oswalt, David Corenswet, Nicholas Hoult, Emma Stone, Adria Arjona, Alan Tudyk, Ariela Barer, Heidi Klum and Dolores Huerta, as well as musical performances by NEZZA, Hermanos Gutiérrez, and Good Charlotte.

The show, which films at the El Capitan Entertainment Centre on Hollywood Boulevard, is produced by 12:05 AM Productions, in association with Kimmelot and 20th Television. Kimmel, Erin Irwin, Molly McNearney, Jennifer Sharron and David Craig serve as executive producers with Douglas DeLuca and Danny Ricker as co-executive producers.

It marks the fifth year that Kimmel, who baked his summer break into his ABC contract, has taken the summer off, starting in 2020 with no shows during the summer of 2023 as a result of the dual labor strikes in Hollywood.

Over that period the likes of Ryan Reynolds, Jennifer Lawrence, Martin Short, Dana Carvey, Chelsea Handler, Al Franken, Nikki Glaser, Jeff Goldblum, RuPaul, Kerry Washington, Lamorne Morris, Sean Hayes and Hugh Jackman have all led the Hollywood-set show.

Dave Navarro Returning as ‘Master of Chaos’ on New Season of Paramont+’s Revived “Ink Master” Series

There’s more ink in Dave Navarro’s future…

Following its cancellation in 2020, Ink Master will return to Paramount+ on September 7, with the 55-year-old Mexican American guitarist, singer, songwriter, and television personality returning in a new role.

Dave NavarroNavarro, the show’s former host, will return as the Master of Chaos and will introduce crazy twists and game-changing bombs to the reality competition series.

Joel Madden, lead vocalist for the pop/punk band Good Charlotte and co-founder of music companies Veeps and MDDN, will emcee.

Former Ink Master winner Ryan Ashley, celebrity tattoo artist Nikko Hurtado and industry veteran Ami James will serve as judges.

In the new, 10-episode season, fan-favorite artists will return to compete in the ultimate tattoo competition. The artists will face new challenges seen in the battle to win $250,000 and the title of “Ink Master.” The show first launched in 2012 and spawned a number of spinoffs, including Ink Master: Grudge Match.

The show was canceled in 2020 at the Paramount Network because the cabler was looking to refocus its strategy on television movies and mini-series. Last year, Paramount+ decided to bring back the format.

Ink Master is hails from from MTV Entertainment Studios and Truly Original.

Cameron Diaz Gives Birth to First Child

Cameron Diazis officially in the role of a lifetime… Mom.

The 47-year-old half-Cuban American actress and and husband Benji Madden of Good Charlotte have welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Raddix Madden, into the new year and decade.

Diaz posted a letter from her and Madden announcing her birth and their privacy policy for her.

“She has instantly captured our hearts and completed our family. While we are overjoyed to share this news, we also feel a strong instinct to protect our little one’s privacy,” the letter read. “So we won’t be posting pictures or sharing any more details, other than the fact that she is really really cute!! Some would even say RAD:).”

The couple first tied the knot in January 2015, and they’ve kept a relatively low profile since.

Cardi B to Perform at Memphis’ Beale Street Music Festival

Organizers for the 43rd annual Beale Street Music Festival, taking place in Memphis between May 3-5, has revealed a diverse range of acts for its 2019 lineup, including the 26-year-old half-Dominican American rap sensation and recent Grammy winner.

In addition to the “I Like It” rappper, the roster includes the Dave Matthews Band, The Killers, G-Eazyand Charlie Wilson will all perform. 

The three-day festival will also feature sets from Shinedown, Khalid, OneRepublic, Gary Clark Jr. and India.Arie. Flogging Molly, Chvrches, Lil Dicky, Lord Huron and Good Charlotte will also fill out the eclectic lineup.

“The Beale Street Music Festival saw more than 102,000 in Tom Lee Parklast year with attendees from all 50 states and 22 countries,” said James L. Holt, president and CEO of umbrella organization Memphis in May, in a press release. “We wanted to offer an even bigger lineup in 2019 as our city celebrates its bicentennial, and we feel like this may be our best lineup ever.”

Added Holt, “The 2019 lineup features current chart-toppers and returning fan favorites who consistently draw large crowds to our unique setting on the Mississippi River.”

Beale Street Music Festival is held in picturesque Tom Lee Park, a river bluff park overlooking the Mississippi Riverin downtown Memphis at the foot of historic Beale Street.

The Memphis in May-produced festival promises a cultural salute this year with 40 percent of their performers having ties to the city.

Memphis in May is a month-long festival held in Tennessee with events such as Beale Street Music Festival, World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest(May 15-18), Great American River Run(May 25) and Celebrate Memphis(May 25).

Diaz Engaged to Good Charlotte’s Benji Madden

Forget My Best Friend’s Wedding… Cameron Diaz will be heading down the aisle in the near future.

The half-Cuban American actress is engaged to Good Charlotte‘s Benji Madden, according to People.

“It happened a few nights ago,” a Madden pal tells the magazine about the proposal. “All of Benji’s friends are aware and happy for him.”

Spending quality time with Diaz’s family in Florida earlier this year, the rocker went the traditional route when asking for his future wife’s hand in marriage.

“Her mom is a fan of him as well and gave her blessing,” says the pal.

Diaz, who starred opposite Julia Roberts in My Best Friend’s Wedding, started dating the musician in May after Nicole Richie set them up (Richie is married to Madden’s twin brother Joel).

“I approve of anything that’s going to make Benj happy,” Richie told Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen in July.

“Since she started dating Benji, Cameron has changed in a very positive way,” a source said earlier this year. “She can’t stop smiling and seems much happier.”

This is the first engagement for Madden, 35, and the second for the Annie star. She was briefly engaged to Jared Leto in 2000 and previously dated Alex Rodriguez, Justin Timberlake, Matt Dillon, Diddy and Edward Norton.
