WV Entertainment’s first-look agreement is for scripted and unscripted projects, with a strong emphasis on diversity.

“As someone who immigrated to the United States at 14 years old, I am immensely passionate about this opportunity to create engaging and culturally relevant projects with CBS Television Studios,” says Valderrama.

Valderrama’s production company has produced several projects, including The Hollywood Puppet Show, Handy Manny for Playhouse Disney, and Douglas Family Gold for Oxygen.

On the feature side he produced and is voicing the upcoming animated film Charming alongside John H. Williams, producer of the Shrek franchise.

Valderrama’s philanthropic endeavors include Harness, a group he launched recently with America Ferrera and Ryan Piers Williams, which is dedicated to connecting communities through conversation to inspire action and power change. Valderrama also serves on the board of Voto Latino and is co-chair of their artist coalition. He is also the spokesperson for the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute, and is the founder of their Ready 2 Lead program, which educates and empowers Latino youth.

In 2013, Valderrama was honored with an ALMA Award for Outstanding Social Activism.

Valderrama, who stars in Fox’s new series Minority Report, joins a cast that includes Demi Lovato as Lenore, Ashley Tisdale as Cinderella, Avril Lavigne as Snow White and Chinese pop star G.E.M. as Sleeping Beauty in the pic from writer-director Ross Venokur.

“Wilmer had everything we were looking for while we were contemplating who to cast as this Prince Charming: irresistible charm, perfect comedic timing and a lot of heart,” said John H. Williams, who is producing the film with fellow 3QU Media co-founder Henry Skelsey. “We needed a Prince Charming who could convey the love of being a lover and someone who isn’t afraid of being absurd and over the top at times but also be deep and emotional when he actually meets his unexpected (not a princess) true love.”

Valderrama is a regular on Robert Rodriguez’s El Rey Network series From Dusk Till Dawn and voiced the title role on Disney’s toon series Handy Manny.

Other recent credits for the That 70’s Show alum include features The Adderall Diaries and To Whom It May Concern and TV’s Raising Hope and Awake.

“We’ve all been waiting so long to see a Latin princess represented in an animated fairy tale,” Valderrama said. “I’m grateful to the enlightened producer John Williams for anointing me as the first Latin prince.”

Valderrama’s Next Role: Sexy New Age Guru

Goodbye city life! It looks like Wilmer Valderrama is headed to the ‘burbs…

The 31-year-old part-Colombian/part-Venezuelan actor has signed on to appear on ABC’s new comedy series, Suburgatory. He’ll guest-star as Yoni, a sexy New Age guru who helps provide a little spiritual—and sexual—healing to the town’s soccer moms.

In the episode set to air early next year, the former That ‘70s Show star is described as a cross between the Dalai Lama and Richard Gere’s character in American Gigolo.

“He is highly spiritual, with a great head of hair. Self-trained in the art of Reiki, Yoni stands alone as Chatswin’s new age guru, making him extremely popular with moms,” series creator Emily Kapnek tells TVGuide.com. “He’s also great in bed.”

Valderrama co-stars in NBC‘s upcoming midseason drama Awake, about a police detective who is involved in a traumatic car accident and awakens in two fractured realities. He recently guest-starred in the mid-season finale of Royal Pains as a hallucinating art enthusiast who may or may not be dead when the series resumes next year.

Valderrama also voices the title character of Disney’s animated series Handy Manny.
