The 40-year-old half-Mexican American actress and entrepreneur will begin filming the action thriller Trigger Warning for Netflix in New Mexico this fall, starring and executive producing her first feature film in a few years.

Mouly Surya is directing from a script by Josh Olson and John Brancato.

Alba plays a traumatized veteran who inherits her grandfather’s bar, and is faced with a moral dilemma after discovering the truth behind his untimely death.Jessica Alba

This is believed to be a possible franchise starter with high hopes for its success, considering the reception of the streamer’s other action films, including Spenser Confidential and Extraction.

Best known for her work on James Cameron’s Dark Angel TV series, and the films Sin City and Fantastic Four, Alba recently starred and executive produced Spectrum Originals’ “LA’s Finest,” alongside Gabrielle Union. The series, an action-packed spinoff from Jerry Bruckheimer’s Bad Boys universe, returned for its second and final season this June.

Alba is also attached to the Disney+ documentary series with the working title Parenting Without Borders, which she will host and executive produce. She’s also the entrepreneur behind the billion-dollar Honest Company and Honest Beauty.

In addition to Alba, the founder and chief creative officer of the Honest Company and Honest Beauty, the new season’s advisers include investment guru Warren Buffett, Los Angeles Clippers owner and former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer; supermodel and actress Tyra Banks, CEO of the Tyra Banks Company and cosmetics brand Tyra Beauty; and entertainment attorney Patrick Schwarzenegger, Arnold’s nephew.

Alba Named to Fortune’s 40 Under 40 List

It’s a fantastic fortune moment for Jessica Alba

The 34-year-old half-Mexican American actress and entrepreneur has been named to Fortune’s 2015 40 Under 40 list, the magazine’s annual ranking of the most influential young people in business.

Jessica Alba

As an expectant mom, Alba – ranked No. 15 on the list – saw a void in the market for less toxic, more sustainable household goods. The Honest Company is rapidly filling that void. Last year, Alba’s company sold some $170 million worth of products like diapers and cleaning supplies in outlets like Costco, Target, Whole Foods and Nordstrom—nearly a threefold increase over 2013.

Now, Alba is looking to expand The Honest Company’s presence into new regions—South Korea is next and China is in the works.

She’s also expanding the company’s portfolio of products with Honest Beauty, a cosmetics and skin-care line launched earlier this month.

But Alba isn’t the only fortunate Latino to make the list…

Hugo Barra comes on at No. 14.

Years after initially getting turned down for a job at Google, the Brazil-born businessman found himself in a plum perch leading the search giant’s mobile aspirations as vice president of Android.

It came as a surprise when in late 2013 Barra announced he was leaving Google for the then relatively unknown Chinese startup Xiaomi, valued at $46 billion.

As vice president, Barra is responsible for leading the company into uncharted territory by ushering its inexpensive products to new international markets—growth areas that are more critical than ever for Xiaomi as China’s smartphone penetration reaches all time highs.

Even the new website, where all products are available for purchase you can get them on เซรั่มลดฝ้า, has fancy features like video application tutorials and GIF product demonstrations that are set into motion when users hover over product images.

Alba told Fashionista that for her, diversity was a key to making Honest Beauty standout from the pack.

“My impetus in wanting to launch this line was around diverse beauty and celebrating diversity,” she said. “I found it very challenging to find the right colors and foundations, and I would often mix two or three different ones.”

Even though she’s faced a few legal issues recently, including a $5 million lawsuit alleging that The Honest Company’s products were made with synthetic materials and that the company’s sunscreen was “ineffective,” Alba is taking it in stride.

In a statement released last week, Alba noted, “I am very proud that we have built this company into an industry leader focused on using natural ingredients and developing products that people love.”
