Directed by Tiffany Paulsen and c0-starring Percy Hynes White, Winter Spring Summer or Fall follows Remi (Ortega) and Barnes (White), two very different teens who meet by chance in the winter of their senior year and spend four transformative days together across the seasons.

The film’s cast also includes Marisol Nichols, Elias Kacavas, Adam Rodriguez and Jacqueline Emerson.

Netflix Releases New Trailer for Second Half of Season Two of Jenna Ortega’s “Wednesday”

Jenna Ortega has a new guiding force…

Netflix has released the trailer for Part 2 of Season 2 of the 22-year-old Mexican and Puerto Rican actress,’ hot series Wednesday, which arrives on September 3.

Jenna Ortega, WednesdayIn the teaser clip, Gwendoline Christie’s Principal Larissa Weems is back, at least in Wednesday’s post-Episode 4 regaining of consciousness, asking her if she’s ready for her sponge bath.

As the titular main Addams Family character, Ortega asks if she’s in hell, but no.

In a shocking turn of events, Weems is Wednesday’s new spirit guide, or figure from beyond death who’ll help Wednesday with her psychic visions.

Ortega portrayed Goody Addams, Wednesday’s father’s ancestor who helped her with her ability in Season 1.

The good news is: Wednesday’s not dead.

“Tyler’s still out there. He has plans to kill both of us. I’m going to fix it,” Wednesday tells Enid (Emma Myers), her werewolf roommate whose death came to Wednesday in a vision alongside a crow with a vitreous eye.

“You’re the reason he escaped,” Enid says to Wednesday back in their dorm room.

“She’s got a point,” Weems says walking around the pair, to which Wednesday responds “Stay out of this.”

Enid asks who she’s talking to because she can’t see Weems.

“Every family has dark chapters, Wednesday,” Wednesday’s mother Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones) tells her daughter.

“If there’s never a time to unburden yourself with the truth, now is it,” Wednesday says. “A life hangs in the balance.”

“If you don’t hurry, you’ll have nothing left to save,” Weems’ word linger until one last sentence is uttered.

“Beware, there will be a price to pay,” an unknown voice says in the trailer’s final moments. While there’s still no sign of Lady Gaga, could it be her speaking these words?

Come September 3, viewers will find out.

Netflix to Release Season Two of Jenna Ortega’s Hit Series “Wednesday” in Two Parts

Jenna Ortega is splitting her (Wednes)days

Netflix will release season two of the hit series Wednesday, starring the 22-year-old Mexican American actress, in two parts. It’s the first time in awhile that Netflix has employed the split-season release pattern, which it has used on some of its biggest shows

Jenna Ortega, WednesdayPart 1 will be released on August 6, while Part 2 will follow on September 3.

Netflix also released a teaser trailer with a first look at what’s ahead for the second season.

Created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, Wednesday follows the titular Addams child to Nevermore Academy, where she learns to master her emerging psychic abilities.

In Season 1, she uncovers a killing spree that was connected to her parents, Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones) and Gomez (Luis Guzmán), who met at the school 15 years earlier.

In the teaser trailer, Wednesday (Ortega) is at an airport walking through security when she sets off the alarm, prompting a TSA agent to alert the teen that she must empty her pockets. She puts her brass knuckles on the conveyor belt, naturally, her pepper spray, knives, nunchucks, taser gun,and a twin-spiked ball flail, among other weapons she casually carries on her person. Additionally, Thing is found in her bag with a mysterious yellow container. That’s what set off the alarm: her sunscreen.

Further, it’s revealed that Wednesday is returning to school, where she is reunited with her roommate Enid Sinclair (Emma Myers).

Zeta-Jones previously teased that their sophomore turn will “be bigger and more twisted than you could ever imagine.”

Ortega has shared that the new episodes will lean more into horror, unlike the teen romance storyline focus from the show’s freshman season.

Season 2 will shine brighter on Wednesday and Morticia’s mother-and-daughter relationship, with new family members to be introduced.

Zeta-Jones, Guzmán, and Isaac Ordoñez, who plays Wednesday’s brother Pugsley, were all upped to series regulars for the show’s sophomore season.

A spinoff expanding the world of Wednesday with a focus on Uncle Fester (played in Season 1 by guest star Fred Armisen) is in the works from Netflix and MGM Television. Uncle Fester appears in Season 2.

Additional casting for Season 2 includes Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo (Sheriff Deputy Ritchie Santiago) being upped to series regular, who will star alongside newly added Billie Piper, Steve Buscemi, Joanna Lumley, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah Taylor. Lady Gaga will appear as a guest star.

Camila Cabello Releasing Expanded Edition of “C,XOXO” Featuring New Single “Godspeed”

Camila Cabello is releasing more new music.

The 27-year-old half-Mexican and half-Cuban singer has announced on Instagram plans to release an expanded edition of her latest album, C, XOXO, along with a brand new song.

Camila CabelloThe Magic City Edition of C, XOXO will arrive on Friday, September 6, and feature new single “Godspeed.”

“i wish you well, but far away from me,” Cabello captioned a teaser video of the forthcoming tune, hinting at a possible theme about breakup.

The brief clip finds the “I Luv It” singer swimming in a dark pool of water while donning a sparkly silver dress. “Always more stories to tell. Some new songs for your night in Magic City,” she wrote in second post announcing the deluxe album.

Cabello’s announcement comes after unconfirmed theories that Sabrina Carpenter‘s newly dropped sixth album, Short n’ Sweet, includes songs about a potential love triangle between herself, Cabello and Shawn Mendes.

Carpenter and Mendes were spotted spending time together in February 2023, a year after the “In My Blood” singer split from Cabello in November 2021. Just two months later, Cabello and Mendes were spotted rekindling their romance at Coachella.

Songs on Carpenter’s album, including “Coincidence,” “Sharpest Tool” and “Taste,” all seem to follow a storyline about a love interest rekindling his romance with his ex-girlfriend. The corresponding “Taste” visual stars Jenna Ortega, who fans think was casted to represent Cabello in the clip.

Cabello also seemingly added fuel to the flame, by recently sharing a TikToksinging along to her own track, “June Gloom,” which features the lyrics: “She’s cool, I heard/ Won’t act surprised, I saw the pictures/ […] If she’s so amazing, why are you on this side of town? / If you like her so much, what are you here trying to find out?”

Cabello released her fourth album, C, XOXO, in June. The set features 14 tracks, two of which are Drake collaborations.

The project was led by the singles “I Luv It” with Playboi Carti and “He Knows” with Lil Nas X.

Jenna Ortega’s “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” to World Premiere at Venice Film Festival

Jenna Ortega’s latest project is launching in Italy…

The 81st Venice Film Festival will open with the world premiere of Tim Burton‘s Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, starring the 21-year-old Mexican American actress.

Jenna Ortega, BeetlejuiceMichael Keaton, Winona Ryder, Catherine O’Hara, Justin Theroux, Monica Bellucci and Willem Dafoe star alongside Ortega in the highly anticipated sequel to Beetlejuice.

The Warner Bros film will be screened out of competition on Wednesday, August 28 at the Sala Grande, the festival said Tuesday.

This will mark a return to the sort of glitzy red carpet with which Venice has become synonymous, after last year’s Lido event had less star-wattage than usual as it took place amid the SAG-AFTRA strike.

Warner Bros starts the international rollout on Beetlejuice 2 on September 4 with domestic joining September 6.

Said Venice chief Alberto Barbera today, “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice marks the long-awaited return of one of the most iconic characters of Tim Burton’s cinema, but also the happy confirmation of the extraordinary visionary talent and the masterly realization of one of the most fascinating auteurs of his time. The Venice Biennale is honored and proud to host the world premiere of a work that features a surprising swing of creative imagination and driving hallucinatory rhythm.”

Added Burton, “I’m very excited by this. It means a lot to me to have the world premiere of this film at the Venice Film Festival.”

In the sequel to Beetlejuice, Burton’s classic 1988 supernatural comedy, three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River following an unexpected tragedy. Still haunted by Beetlejuice (Keaton), Lydia’s (Ryder) life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid (Ortega), discovers the mysterious model of the town in the attic and the portal to the Afterlife is accidentally opened. With trouble brewing in both realms, it’s only a matter of time until someone says Beetlejuice’s name three times and the mischievous demon returns to unleash his very own brand of mayhem.

This year’s Venice runs from August 28-September 7 with French star Isabelle Huppert acting as jury president.

Luis Guzman Upped to Series Regular for Season Two of Netflix’s “Wednesday”

There are more Wednesdays in Luis Guzmán’s future…

The 67-year-old Puerto Rican actor has been promoted to series regular for season two of Netflix’s supernatural mystery Wednesday.

Luis Guzman, Gomez Addams, WednesdayGuzman, who portrays Wednesday’s father Gomez Addams on the series, is among the main cast and guest stars announced by Netflix for the upcoming season, which will once again be headlined by Jenna Ortega.

Production has started in Ireland for a 2025 premiere.

Promoted alongside Guzman as series regulars are Catherine Zeta-Jones, who plays Wednesday’s mom Morticia Addams; Isaac Ordonez (Wednesday’s younger brother Pugsley Addams); and Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo (Sheriff Deputy Ritchie Santiago).

Joining Wednesday as new series regulars are Billie Piper, previously revealed Steve Buscemi, Evie TempletonOwen Painter and Noah Taylor.

A teaser, featuring Thing delivering scripts to the cast, reveals the characters for Piper, who will play Capri, and Buscemi, who will portray Barry Dort.

Wednesday creators/executive producers Al Gough and Miles Millar had previously hinted that we might see more Addams family members in Season 2 and explore further Wednesday’s relationship with her mother and the rest of her family. Expanding Jones, Guzmán and Ordonez’s presence next season would fit into that plan — along with delighting fans who had been asking to see more of these characters.

Season 2 will introduce at least one new Addams family member, Grandmama, who will be played by Joanna Lumley in a guest-starring turn, with Fred Armisen set to reprise his guest role as Uncle Fester.

Christopher Lloyd, who played Uncle Fester in the Addams Family film franchise, will also guest star in Season 2 in an undisclosed role, the second cast member from the films to appear on the series after Christina Ricci’s turn last season. Other new Season 2 guest stars include Thandiwe Newton, who will play Dr. Fairburn; Frances O’ConnorHaley Joel OsmentHeather Matarazzo; and Joonas Suotamo.

Returning series regulars are Ortega as Wednesday, Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Hunter Doohan, Victor Dorobantu, Moosa Mostafa and Georgie Farmer.

Meanwhile, Season 1 series regulars Percy Hynes WhiteJamie McShane and Naomi J Ogawa will not be returning in that capacity next season.

Of the three, only McShane is slated to reprise his Sheriff Donovan Galpin role as a guest star, likely to wrap the story of his character. Galpin’s duties may be taken over by his deputy, Santiago, with Lewis-Nyawo now promoted to series regular.

White played psychic Nevermore student Xavier Thorpe, one of the two main Season 1 male leads and a romantic interest for Wednesday (Ortega), who saved his life in the season finale.

Rumors started circulating last fall that his character may be written off. White last June issued a statement, hitting back at since-deleted anonymous January 2023 social media posts that accused him of sexual assault. In his message to fans, White vehemently denied any allegations.

As for Ogawa, her vampire student character Yoko Tanaka spent Season 1 largely in the background, with diminishing screen time as the season went on and no major storylines.

The teaser, which you can watch below, also reveals that the first episode of Season 2 is titled “Here We Woe Again.” It was written by Millar and Gough and is being directed by series director/exec producer Tim Burton.

“We are thrilled that the entire Addams family will be enrolling in Nevermore Academy this season along with a dream cast of icons and new faces,” Millar and Gough said in a statement.

The Season 2 cast photo is taken in the room Wednesday shared with Enid. There is no official logline for next season, but at least some of the action is expected to again take place at Nevermore Academy as the series is charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at there. It is unclear whether that would include Wednesday’s parents. There is a vacancy at the helm of the Academy after the principal (and Morticia’s former roommate) Larissa Weems (Gwendoline Christie) was killed.

Wednesday‘s first season ranks as Netflix’s most popular English TV series with 252.10 million views. The black comedy spent 20 weeks on the Global Top 10 and reached the top 10 in 93 countries.

Burton, Gough and Millar executive produce with Steve Stark, Andrew Mittman, Tommy Harper, Karen Richards, Kayla Alpert, Jonathan Glickman, Gail Berman and Meredith Averill. Other Season 2 directors include Paco Cabezas and Angela Robinson. MGM Television is the studio.

As the series is starting production in its new location, after filming Season 1 in Romania, Netflix is launching a TikTok channel dedicated to all things Wednesday from Thing’s perspective.

Jenna Ortega Stars in Doritos’ Dinamita Super Bowl Commercial

Jenna Ortega will be bringing the action, and her abuelas, to your television screen during this year’s Super Bowl.

The 21-year-old Mexican American actress and Wednesday star is appearing in DoritosSuper Bowl ad for the snack brand’s new rolled chip brand, Dinamita.

Jenna OrtegaOrtega appears alongside her fictional grandmothers, Dina and Mita, for a grocery store trip.

When the Scream actress walks to another aisle, a feud begins between Dina, Mita and another Doritos Dinamita fan played by Danny Ramirez.

The grandma-duo duke it out with the Top Gun: Maverick actor over the last chip bag — motorized scooters and all.

Ortega, oblivious to her grandmothers’ high-speed chase, calls out for them at the grocery store.

Dina and Mita karate chop and kick their opponent but still have grandmother-like tendencies, including taking a break from the action to coo at a baby. While fawning at the infant, Ramirez escapes in an elevator with the chips. But he can’t get away that easily. Dina and Mita create a makeshift zipline to knock him out and take back the snack.

“It’s not dynamite,” the ladies correct Ramirez. “It’s Dinamita.”

“Abuelas!” Ortega says, taking the chips out of Dina and Mita’s hands. “I’ve been looking everywhere for you.”

Doritos has been a part of Super Bowl commercial breaks for 24 years, according to a release, but this is both Ortega’s and Doritos Dinamita’s first-ever Super Bowl commercial. Ortega told PEOPLE filming the commercial was like “coming home.”

“For the first year of my career, I was only allowed to do commercials,” she explained. “And I did some big ones, but nothing to the level of this or to this extent. So it was like a weird nostalgic, ‘Wow, it’s been 12 years and then this is where I’m at now.'”

Ortega told PEOPLE that, in addition to loving the chip brand, her costars and commercial crew drew her into the project.

“You have Dina and Mita, two Latinas as the lead, and then we got to bring Danny Ramirez on board, who is another really wonderful Latino actor who’s doing so well right now,” she said, adding shout-outs to the director, cinematographer and the other film crew members. “I think that it is just a really, really wonderful celebration of Latin culture.”
