Howie Dorough & Backstreet Boys to Headline Official Formula 1 Afterparty

Howie Dorough is revving his engines for a special afterparty.

The 52-year-old half-Puerto Rican singer and his fellow Backstreet Boys members will headline the official Formula 1 (F1) Afterparty.

Howie Dorough, Backstreet BoysDorough, Nick Carter, Brian Littrell, AJ McLean and Kevin Richardson will headline the official post-race show after the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix on November 21.

They will take the stage after the race that will have cars zipping around the Las Vegas Strip at speeds above 200 mph. during practice runs on November 19 and 20, as well as qualifying on the 20th and the headline event on the 21st.

The F1 series is returning to Sin City after a sold-out 2025 event that featured sets from T-Pain, MGK, Zedd, Sofi Tukker, Jess Glynne, Cimafunk, Balu Brigada, Cassian and others.

“Las Vegas is the only place in the world where Formula 1, the Backstreet Boys and Sphere can come together for one unforgettable night,” said Las Vegas Grand Prix, Inc. president/CEO Emily Prazer in a statement about the show that will kick off at 11:30 pm. F1 Afterparty reflects what makes the Las Vegas Grand Prix so distinctive, giving fans the opportunity to see an iconic group like the Backstreet Boys perform at Sphere as part of a race weekend experience you can’t find anywhere else.”

“As Las Vegas welcomes visitors from around the world for Formula 1 weekend, Sphere will once again deliver entertainment at a scale unmatched by any other venue,” added Sphere president/CEO Jen Koester of the 50-lap race that will unfold on a 3.8-mile circuit in the heart of the Strip, blitzing past some of the city’s most iconic landmarks. “F1 Afterparty will feature the Backstreet Boys, whose critically acclaimed, sold-out Sphere performances exemplify our commitment to bringing iconic artists together with groundbreaking technology to create experiences only Sphere can deliver.”

The Backstreet Boys launched their Into the Millennium Sphere residency in Las Vegas in July 2025 and added what they said were the final dates for this summer, culminating with an August 29 show.

The 34-year-old Spanish actress, a star on ABC’s drama series A Million Little Things, appears in a new video released by humanitarian non-profit organization CARE as part of its #HerInHERO campaign.

In the black-and-white clip, 30 female celebrities – including Ochoa, Kelly ClarksonSophia BushJess Glynne and others — name their personal female heroes. Most, including Clarkson, discuss the impact their mothers have had on their lives.


But Ochoa claimed marine biologist Sylvia Earleas her hero, saying, “She has pioneered the role of women in STEM and marine sciences, inspiring the lives of young women.”

Meanwhile, Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Stephanie Beatriznamed country music legend Dolly Parton as her hero.

International Women’s Day is Friday, March 8.

The 35-year-old Panamanian American singer-songwriter, who earned two NAACP Image Award nominations earlier this week, has made Shazam history.

Blacc forms part of the most Shazamed song of all time. Avicii‘s hit “Wake Me Up” featuring Blacc’s vocals has collected more than 19 million queries on the music app to date.

Close behind is Robin Thicke‘s “Blurred Lines” with T.I. and Pharrell Williams with more than 18 million queries, Gotye‘s “Somebody That I Used to Know” featuring Kimbra with over 16 million, Passenger‘s “Let Her Go” with over 15 million, and Clean Bandit‘s “Rather Be” featuring Jess Glynne with over 14 million.

The numbers are now free to track, thanks to the music platform’s relaunch Wednesday. The app’s 100 million monthly mobile active users can now note the number of Shazams each song has ever had and whose music is next to join the new Hall of Fame.

Shazam’s Platinum Hall of Fame honorees — musicians whose tracks have collected more than 15 million queries — will receive a custom award designed and manufactured exclusively by Cristaux.

Additionally, users can also uninterruptedly stream their Rdio and Spotify playlists and charts from inside the app, and scroll through other exclusive content.
