Manuel Uriza is preparing for a white Christmas…

The Latino actor has landed a series regular roles on FX’s drama pilot Snowfall.

Manuel Uriza

Co-created and co-written by the Boyz N The Hood director John Singleton and Eric Amadio and directed by Singleton, the series is set against the infancy of the crack cocaine epidemic in Los Angeles in the 1980s.

Uriza will portray Manuel Villanueva, a cocaine distributor who makes it clear that working for him means doing “bad things,” but he pays well.

Uriza has starred in numerous Spanish language projects including the telenovela Una Maid en Manhattan, which was based on Jennifer Lopez’s hit film Maid in Manhattan.

He most recently appeared on TNT’s Agent X and had a recurring role on FX’s The Bridge opposite Demian Bichir.

His other credits include Magic City and Burn Notice.

Sie7e Appearing on Telemundo’s Una Maid en Manhattan

He’s the Latin Grammys’ reigning best new artist… And now Sie7e is preparing to appear on his first primetime telenovela.

The 34-year-old Puerto Rican singer-songwriter will make his television debut on Telemundo’s Una Maid en Manhattan, according to network officials.

Sie7e, whose real name is David Labault Rodríguez, will perform his music—a fusion of different genres with Puerto Rican rhythms—in a scene showing the opening of a cafe in tonight’s episode.

Based on Jennifer Lopez‘s film Maid in Manhattan, the telenovela tells the story of Maritza Lujan (played by Litzy), a Mexican single mother who immigrates to the United States with her 10-year-old son. She ends up working as a maid at a luxury hotel in New York, where she encounters millionaire businessman Cristobal (Eugenio Siller), who succumbs to love at first sight.

Sie7e—focused on spreading his positive attitude around the world and bringing a message of peace, joy and love to all through his music—recently released a cover of “Don’t Worry Be Happy” that made it into Puerto Rico’s Top 20 in just a matter of weeks.

Una Maid en Manhattan airs Monday through Friday at 8:00 p.m.
