Eden Muñoz Earns Ninth No. 1 on Billboard’s Regional Mexican Airplay Chart with “Lejos Estamos Mejor”

Make that five in a row for Eden Muñoz.

The 34-year-old Mexican singer, songwriter and producer of Regional Mexican music has notched his fifth consecutive No. 1 on Billboard’s Regional Mexican Airplay chart, and ninth overall, as “Lejos Estamos Mejor” rises 2-1 on the ranking dated August 30.

Eden MuñozIt marks Muñoz’s third straight No. 1 in 2025.

“A No. 1 on Billboard, along with this great song, is definitely a big career achievement,” Muñoz tells Billboard. “I’m happy because we can say that ‘Lejos Estamos Mejor’ has come to stay in the hearts of our people. Grateful to God, the team, and all those who connected with the song.”

“Lejos Estamos Mejor” is the title track and second song from Muñoz’s Lejos Estamos Mejor EP (released via Sony Music Latin), after “Mi Primer Día Sin Ti” crowned Regional Mexican Airplay for one week in May.

“Lejos Estamos Mejor” rises to No. 1 with 8.1 million audience impressions earned in the United States in the tracking week of August 15-21, according to Luminate.

For its coronation, the song surged 17% in impressions compared the prior week.

With his new success, Muñoz secures a place among the most successful soloists of the 2020s, matching El Fantasma with nine crowns each. Here is that list of standout solo singers with the most No. 1s on Regional Mexican Airplay this decade:

Elsewhere, Muñoz inches closer to the summit of the overall Latin Airplay chart, as the song rockets 7-2.

Eden Muñoz rules the Regional Mexican roost…

The 34-year-old Mexican singer, songwriter and producer of Regional Mexican music rises 3-1 on Billboard’s November 16-dated Regional Mexican Airplay chart with “Traigo Saldo y Ganas de Rogar.”

Eden Muñoz Muñoz’s latest No. 1 comes only a month after he led with “Mi Eterno Amor Secreto.”

It’s the second song to enter the tally from his second-studio album, Eden.

“Extremely happy to land, once again, atop the chart with a song as important as ‘Traigo Saldo,’” Muñoz tells Billboard. “Not only for representing my roots; I’m talking about banda music. Congratulations to the entire team and of course, grateful for all who continue to trust my music.”

“Traigo Saldo y Ganas de Rogar” takes the lead on Regional Mexican Airplay with a 38% increase in audience impressions, to 8.1 million, earned on U.S. monitored stations during the November 1-7 tracking week, according to Luminate.

With the gain, Muñoz sends Joss Favela and Luis R. Conriquez’s “Con Todo Respetillo” to No. 2, after the latter’s one week in charge.

With the chart-topping success of “Traigo Saldo y Ganas de Rogar” Muñoz picks up his sixth No. 1 on Regional Mexican Airplay since “ Chale!” his longest-leading song, ruled for three weeks in 2022.

Plus, Muñoz secures his third champ of the year, along with Alejandro Fernández, the most for any solo singer in 2024.
