Ally Brooke Teams Up with Dinah Jane to Release “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” Cover

Ally Brooke is hoping you get you into the holiday spirit…

The 30-year-old Mexican American singer has joined voices with her former Fifth Harmony group mate Dinah Jane to release their rendition of “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.”

Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane

Ally Brooke’s single with Dinah Jane follows on the heels of her recently-released four-track holiday EP Under The Tree, which includes the title track, an original song.

Ally and Dinah made the collaboration announcement by way of their socials earlier in the week.

“I’m beyond thrilled to be back together with my former Fifth Harmony mate Dinah,” Ally enthuses in a statement. “There are no words to explain how it feels to be reunited with our collaboration. We hope to bring lots of happiness to our fans and the world with our reunion.”

Christmas is, of course, a time for family. And this holiday cut represents the first time any of the former 5H bandmates have collaborated since the pop group went on hiatus in 2018.

Formed on The X Factor in 2012 with the lineup of Brooke, Jane, Normani, Lauren Jauregui, and Camila Cabello, the group went on to land four top 10 titles on the Billboard 200 chart, and earned a top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Work From Home” featuring Ty Dolla $ign, peaking at No. 4 in 2016.

“Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” comes years after Fifth Harmony disbanded, at the time reduced to a four-piece when Cabello left.

Jane presents the new song as a special gift to long-suffering Harmonizers.

“There’s a special type of joyous spirit that Christmas brings us all,” she comments. “This holiday season, I’m grateful for this healing union that has brought my good ole sister Ally Brooke and I together through music”.

“May this song encourage you to embrace love, forgiveness, and bring comfort to all,” concludes Dinah. “I pray that this song may connect souls to our dear Savior as His love is the reason for all seasons.”

“Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” is now bundled into Brooke’s Under the Tree collection.

“… I gotta put out this album next year,” she said of the as-yet-untitled LP. “Not only do I gotta put out an album, but I gotta record a movie, I’ve got to do so much s–t y’all!.”

The film Cardi B appears to be referencing is the comedy Assisted Living, the follow-up to her co-starring role in Jennifer Lopez’s Hustlers, her first big acting role.

In an interview with XXL earlier this year, Cardi B said she had planned to have a second studio album out this year, but the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in a series of delays.

“I feel like at this point, it’s like a timeline that I created. Because last year I was like: ‘I gotta put out my album this year,’” she said at the time. “But, then I just stopped working on my album out of nowhere because I feel like the whole COVID thing discouraged me to put out my album. Because I want to put out an album, and I want to tour.”

In addition to her collab on Lizzo’s “Rumors,” and “Wild Side” with Normani, Cardi B recently dropped “Bet It” from the Halle Berry drama Bruised. And though she complained in the video about being sick lately and not feeling her best — repeatedly complaining about being “hot” and wanting to take medicine and crawl into bed at 7 p.m.

Kali Uchis Featured in Pirelli’s Official 2022 Calendar

Kali Uchis is officially a calendar girl…

Pirelli’s annual calendar for 2022 has arrived, backed by a star-studded cast of 10 stars, including the 27-year-old Colombian American Grammy-winning singer, photographed by musician Bryan Adams.

Pirelli, Kali UchisIn addition to Uchis, this year’s photo shoot — which follows an “On the Road” theme pitched by Adams himself — features Cher, Iggy Pop, Jennifer Hudson, Rita Ora, Normani, Grimes, St. Vincent, Bohan Phoenix and Saweetie posing for portraits at Los Angeles’ iconic Palace Theatre and the Chateau Marmont, as well as Italy’s Capri at the La Scalinatella Hotel.

Pirelli, Kali UchisContinuing the trade magazine’s more subtle image (the calendar was once known for its racy imagery prior to the 2010s), this year’s stars went for glamour, each in their own unique way.

Pirelli, Kali UchisSpeaking about the inspiration for this year’s theme, Adams told Pirelli, “It wasn’t too difficult, if I’m honest, because on the road is what I’ve been doing for the last 45 years. When I proposed it, I almost thought maybe this had been done before because it’s such an obvious thing, and I thought the symbiotic relationship would be good, the idea of musicians who travel and a company that makes tyres. It makes sense to me. I thought they might have thought it was a bit too much on the nose, but in the end they loved it.”

Cardi B & Lizzo Tease Music Video for New Collaboration “Rumors”

Cardi B is spreading rumors…

The 28-year-old half-Dominican American rap superstar has teamed up with Lizzo for a highly anticipated new single, “Rumors,” which will be released on Friday at 12:00 am.

Cardi B & Lizzo

Lizzo and Cardi B offered a sneak peek into their upcoming “Rumors” video on Thursday.

Lizzo, who’s credited as the lead artist on the single, posted the trailer on her socials hours before it officially arrives. The visual shows separate shots of the two ancient Greek goddess-looking singers summoning the power of the lightning that strikes behind them, before they come together and create a spark with the touch of their fingertips à la Michaelangelo‘s The Creation of Adam.

Cardi B, who’s currently pregnant with her and Offset‘s second child, shows off her baby bump in a golden two-piece and ancient Greek column cap. While displaying her belly in the “Rumors” visual, the rapper was reluctant to show her stomach during the Wild Side” music video with Normani, but joked that she would’ve contributed to the choreo-heavy video if she wasn’t expecting.

“If I wasn’t pregnant I would of done a lit ass pole video to wildside ….but I am so imma just have to do a video rolling on the floor like peppa pig,” the rapper tweeted in July.

“SNEAK PEEK OF ‘RUMORS’. ARE YALL READY? MIDNIGHT. TONIGHT. @iamcardib,” Lizzo captioned the Instagram clip, to which Cardi responded: “I think they ready now.”
