Michael Cimino to Star in Paramount Players’ “Senior Year”

Michael Cimino is having a senior moment…

The 21-year-old half-Puerto Rican actor will star in Paramount Players’ “Senior Year,” starring and produced by Rebel Wilson.

Cimino, the start of Hulu’s Love, Victor series, joins a roster of new cast additions that includes Jade BenderJeremy Ray Taylor and Avantika.

Wilson as a woman who wakes up from a 20-year coma and returns to high school to try to regain her status as a popular cheerleader and claim the prom queen crown that eluded her.

Cimino stars as Victor Salazar in Hulu’s Love, Victor, which debuted its second season last month to critical acclaim. The actor also starred in Annabelle Comes Home and will next be featured in Black Box and Heartlight.

Also added to the cast are Joshua Colley, newcomer Ana Yi Puig, Molly Brown, Zaire Adams and Tyler Barnhardt.

The comedy’s starry ensemble also features Sam Richardson, Angourie Rice, Justin Hartley, Zoë Chao, Mary Holland, Chris Parnell and Alicia Silverstone.

David Zayas to Star in the Action Film ” Force of Nature”

The 56-year-old Puerto Rican actor will star opposite Mel Gibson, Kate Bosworth and Emile Hirsch in Emmett-Furla-Oasis’ Force of Nature.

Zayas, best known for his role on Dexter, will play John the Baptist in the Michael Polish-directed action film about a gang of thieves who plot a heist during a hurricane, only to have a cop complicate events.

Zayas’ character is part of the bank heist crew, described as a ruthless, cold guy who’ll stop at nothing to get what he wants, even if means sacrificing people on his team. 

The film is currently shooting in Puerto Rico. 

Zayas is a former New York police officer, and he began his acting career with LAByrinth Theater Company in 1992. His film credits include The ExpendablesMichael Clayton16 BlocksThe Savages and Martin Scorsese’s Bringing Out the DeadHe’ll next appear in Paramount Players Body Cam.

He played Angel Batista on the Emmy-winning Showtimes eries Dexter, was recently seen as Sal Maroni on Fox’s Gothamportrayed Sheriff Aguirre on Netflix’s Bloodline, and Eduardo Magana on Hulu’s Shut Eye among several credits. While working on the crime drama The Beat, Zayas met Emmy-winning television writer and producer Tom Fontana, who went on to create the role of Enrique Morales on HBO’s Oz especially for him.

Paramount has released the first trailer for Playing with Fire, the upcoming family comedy starring the 54-year-old Colombian actor and stand-up comedian, John CenaKeegan-Michael Keyand Tyler Mane

Leguizamo and team play firefighters who rescue three children and, unable to locate the siblings’ parents, become inadvertent and unlikely babysitters.

David Zayas Lands Recurring Role on Syfy’s Upcoming Series “Deadly Class”

The 56-year-old Puerto Rican actor, best known for his work on Dexter, has landed a recurring role on Syfy’s upcoming series Deadly Class, which is based on the Image Comics graphic novel by Rick Remender and Wes Craig.

Deadly Class is described as a coming-of-age journey full of ancient mystery and teen angst. Set in a dark, heightened world against the backdrop of late ‘80s counterculture, it follows the story of Marcus (Benjamin Wadsworth), a teen living on the streets who is recruited into Kings Dominion, an elite private academy where the world’s top crime families send their next generations. Maintaining his moral code while surviving a ruthless curriculum, vicious social cliques and his own adolescent uncertainties soon proves to be vital.

Zayas will play El Alma Del Diablo. Leader of the Mexican cartel, El Alma del Diablo is Chico’s father. He runs his family just like his cartel – with an iron fist.

Benedict Wong, Lana Condor, Maria Gabriela de Faria, Luke Tennie, Liam James and Michel Duval also star.

Adapted for television by Remender and Miles Orion Feldsott— who are also are executive producers and showrunners alongside Mick Betancourt— Deadly Class hails from Sony Pictures Television and Universal Cable Productions.

Zayas was recently seen in the roles of Sal Maroni on Fox’s Gotham, Sheriff Aguirre on Netflix’s Bloodline and Eduardo Magana on Hulu’s Shut Eye. On the film side, he’ll next be seen in Paramount Players Body Cam.

David Zayas to Star in Paramount Players’ Drama “Body Cam”

The 56-year-old Puerto Rican actor has landed a role in Paramount Players’ Body Cam drama, which stars Mary J. Blige and Nat Wolff.

Malik Vittahl is at the helm, directing from a screenplay by Nic McCarthy and John Ridley, based on Richmon Riedel’s spec script.

The plot centers around several LAPD police officers who are haunted by a malevolent spirit that is tied to the murder of a black youth at the hands of two white cops. All of them are caught on a body cam video that was destroyed in a cover-up.

Zayas, a former New York Police officer, will play Sgt. Kesper.

Best known for his role as Angel Batista on Showtime’s Dexter, Zayas has appeared in films like The ExpendablesRide, Tallulah, starring Ellen Page and Allison Janney, and Sony’s Annie remake. He also stars in the upcoming indie Shine.

Eva Longoria to Star in the Live-Action Film Adaptation of Nickelodeon’s “Dora the Explorer”

Eva Longoria is exploring a new role…

The 43-year-old Mexican American actress and former Desperate Housewives star has been cast in Paramount Players’ live-action feature of Nickelodeon’s Dora the Explorer.

Longoria is set to portray Elena, Dora’s mother.

The James Bobin-directed movie hits theaters on August 2, 2019 and is already in production over in Australia with castmembers Isabela Moner (as Dora), Eugenio Derbez, Micke Moreno, Nicholas Coombe, Madeleine Madden, Adriana Barraza, and Temuera Morrison.

In the movie, the young explorer takes on high school, and with her new pack of friends as well as her sidekick the monkey Boots and her cousin Diego, leads them on a Goonies-esque quest to save her parents and solve the impossible mystery behind a lost Inca civilization.

Longoria recently starred in LD Entertainment’s Dog Days and Pantelion/MGM’s Overboard.

Longoria, via her production company UnbeliEVAble Entertainment, is executive producing the ABC drama series Grand Hotel scheduled for a midseason release as well as the recently announced series Ambassador which received a big put pilot commitment from ABC. She was also the EP on Lifetime’s Devious Maids and NBC comedy Telenovela in which she also starred.
