Justice Releases Debut Single “Gold”

It’s a golden moment for Victoria Justice

The 20-year-old half-Puerto Rican singer/actress has unveiled her debut single “Gold,” which was released to digital retailers on Tuesday, June 18, after premiering on Ryan Seacrest‘s syndicated radio show one day earlier.

Victoria Justice

Justice’s “Gold” follows in the pop-rock footsteps of Kelly Clarkson and P!nk, with the former Victorious star keeping things light with some PG-rated “we’re more than friends!” exclamations and tossed-off rapping in the bridge.

Justice gives her Nickelodeon fans an airy, accessible introduction to her first proper solo album.

“It definitely falls under the category of pop, but it’s my own vibe,” Justice told Billboard about the album earlier this month. “When you hear these songs…the people that know me are like, ‘This is so Vic!’ It’s 100 percent my personality, messages I want to get across. Some of the songs are really fun, upbeat stuff you can dance to, and then I have some songs that are a little more introspective, a little more mellow. It’s just all me, basically, so it’s very cool.”

Along with “Gold,” Justice has offered a non-single bonus track, “Shake,” to fans eager for new music.

Justice will perform the single and her older favorites when she kicks off her summer tour alongside Big Time Rush on June 21 in Los Angeles.

Gomez Releases New Single “Come & Get It” Days Earlier Than Planned

Selena Gomez is giving the world the chance to come & get it a little earlier than expected…

The 20-year-old half-Mexican American singer/actress released her brand new single “Come & Get It” on Ryan Seacrest’s website Saturday, two days before it was scheduled for release.

Selena Gomez's Come & Get It

The Spring Breakers‘ star had spent the last week teasing fans with snippets of the song, but released it in its entirety after the song leaked early.

The new single combines a Bhangra beat and vocal with a dance vibe and memorable bridge.

“You got the kind of love that I want, let me get that/ And baby once I get it, I’m yours; no take-backs/ I’m gon’ love you for life, I ain’t leaving your side,” she sings. “Even if you knock it, ain’t no way to stop it / Forever you’re mine, baby, I’m addicted; no lie.”

Gomez addressed the leak in a video message.

“Hey guys, so my song got leaked today, my first single,” she said. “I’m actually kind of excited because you can finally hear it! And I hope you guys like it.”

“Come *& Get It” received so much attention that it crashed Seacrest’s website.

“Can’t even stand it. #selenatorsarethebest,” she tweeted on Saturday and, one day later, she still seemed excited by the response.

“You guys made my day all day today. #Comeandgetitnow. Love you guys XOXO.”

Gomez is scheduled to perform “Come & Get It,” the lead single off her highly anticipated new album, at the MTV Movie Awards on April 14 when she takes the stage in Culver City.

Lovato to Join Bruno Mars & Miguel at This Year’s Wango Tango

Demi Lovato is preparing to (wango) tango this coming May…

The 20-year-old part-Mexican American actress/singer, who recently signed on to return to the judges table on Fox’s The X Factor next season, has been added to the list of performers for KIIS-FM’s upcoming Wango Tango concert.

Demi Lovato

In addition, Lovato will serve as a guest host alongside Ryan Seacrest and the rest of the KIIS-FM  on-air team at the star-studded music party taking place at The Home Depot Center in Carson on Saturday, May 11.

But Lovato isn’t the only Hispanic musician performing at the annual event.

Bruno Mars and Miguel will also take the stage at Wango Tango. Mars, who will kick off the festivities, has performed at the event before, while Miguel will be making his debut.

Other performers include Britney Spears, Maroon 5, Flo Rida, will.i.am, Icona Pop and Ariana Grande.

Tickets for Wango Tango go on sale to the VIP members of KIIS fans club on Friday, April 5 at 10:00 A.M. PST. If tickets are still available after the pre-sale, the remaining tickets will go on sale to the public on Saturday, April 6 at 10:00 A.M. at the radio’s official site with keyword “WANGO.”

Sanchez Wows with Her Performance of New Single “Tonight” on “American Idol”

Talk about showing American Idol’s new crop of finalists how it’s done…

Jessica Sanchez, last season’s runner-up, returned to Fox’s reality singing competition to perform the first track from her upcoming debut album.

Jessica Sanchez

Dressed in a sparkly silver midriff-exposing top, baggy pants and silver, high-heeled high tops, the 17-year-old half-Mexican singer took the stage to sing “Tonight,” her poptastic collaboration with R&B star Ne-Yo.

It’s hard to believe Sanchez was competing on Idol just a year ago after her seasoned pro-like performance on Thursday night’s results show. She strutted her stuff across the stage with confidence, showed her Jennifer Lopez-like sass in front of a wind machine and even busted a move with her backup dancers.

Following her performance, which earned a standing ovation from Keith Urban, Nicki Minaj and Randy Jackson, Sanchez confirmed to Idol host Ryan Seacrest that she’s having the time of her life.

Sanchez’s new track is available for download on iTunes. Her debut album Me, You & the Music will be released on April 30.

Arbos & Velez Make the “American Idol” Top 10

Lazaro Arbos and Devin Velez are the last Latinos standing on American Idol

During Thursday night’s episode of Fox’s hit reality competition, Ryan Seacrest revealed that the 21-year-old and 18-year-old singers had survived the first public vote to earn their place in the Top 10.

American Idol Top 10

Arbos, who instantly won America’s hearts at his first audition with his inspiring story, earned his spot with his rendition of “Feeling Good.

“I was a hot mess tonight with my song I was so happy I made top 10 thank you guys for making this happen for me gonna make y’all proud,” tweeted Arbos after being the last of the guys to make the Top 10. He performed “Bridge Over Troubled Water” after the announcement.

Velez was called a “Spanish Ken Doll” by judge Nicki Minaj after his acclaimed bilingual performance on Wednesday.

I can truly say that I cant believe that I’ve made it.. I just want to thank you guys for all of the love and support. ‪#blessed,” tweeted Velez, who performed “Impossible” as his victory song.

For making the Top 10, Arbos and Velez will be rewarded by taking part in the Idol concert tour this summer.

Meanwhile, it proved to be a disappointing night for three other Latino contestants: Tenna Torres, Breanna Steer and Elijah Liu. The trio failed to earn enough votes to advance to the next round.

Here’s a look at the Top 10:

Cowell Says Lovato Could Return to “The X Factor”

Britney Spears isn’t returning to the judges table on The X Factor… But Demi Lovato might just be back next season.

The Fox reality singing competition’s executive producer Simon Cowell admitted to American Idol host and radio personality Ryan Seacrest that “we’d be crazy not to have her back” when discussing the 20-year-old part-Mexican singer/actress’ return to the show.

Demi Lovato

In an interview on Seacrest’s radio show, Cowell said that he “liked having Demi on the show” and that “she’s fun to work with.”

But Cowell did warn that “nothing is official” after talking about the “Heart Attack” singer’s possible return.

The third season of  The X Factor is right around the corner, with the first round of auditions set to take place in Los Angeles on March 6.

So far, replacements haven’t been named for exiting judges L.A. Reid and Britney Spears, nor have co-hosts Mario Lopez or Khloe Kardashian been confirmed to return.

“We’re talking to people all the time and hopefully within a couple of weeks we might announce the first two,” said Cowell of the judges panel.
