Christian Nodal Earns Third Top 10 Hit on Billboard’s Regional Mexican Songs Chart

The third time’s the charm for Christian Nodal

The 18-year-old Mexican mariachi singer-songwriter’s earns his third top 10 hit on Billboard’s Regional Mexican Songs airplay chart, as “Me Dejé Llevar” rises 13-8.

The strack earned 5.2 million in audience (up 30 percent) in the week ending December 17 according to Nielsen Music.

Nodal’s latest top 10 follows two previous leaders, both in 2017: “Probablemente,” featuring David Bisbal (No. 1 for four weeks) and “Adios Amor” (No. 1 for seven weeks).

All three tracks are from Nodal’s debut studio album, Me Dejé Llevar, which returns to No. 1 on the Regional Mexican Albums chart for a 12th nonconsecutive week (up 3-1).

The set earned 3,000 equivalent album units in the week ending December 14 (up 4 percent). The album debuted atop the list dated September 16, and has spent more weeks at No. 1 in 2017 than any other album. (Banda Sinaloense MS de Sergio Lizarraga’s En Vivo: Guadalajara — Monterrey has scored eight weeks in 2017, of its 15 total weeks atop the list. (En Vivo debuted at No. 1 in 2015, and has notched additional weeks at No. 1 in both 2016 and 2017.)

The 16-member Mexican banda sinaloense, better known as La Banda MS, has earned its first No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart.

Their new album En Vivo: Guadalajara-Monterrey debuts with 2,000 copies sold.

The live set is the band’s ninth charting album, and follows No Me Pidas Perdon, which reached No. 2 (a 3,000 start, chart dated July 12, 2014).

Additionally, Banda Sinaloense spends a third week in the top 10 on the Hot Latin Songs chart with “Piensalo” (No. 6), growing two percent in streams (to 620,000).

Meanwhile, “Me Gusta Tu Vieja” enters Hot Latin Songs at No. 50, becoming the act’s fifth track to chart in 2015.
