When the Heart Eyes Killer strikes, they’re mistaken for a couple by the elusive couple-hunting killer. The duo are forced to spend the most romantic night of the year running for their lives.

Republic Pictures picked up distribution rights to Heart Eyes excluding the U.S. and Canada.

The cast also includes Gigi Zumbado. Zumbado’s previous credits include Kenya Barris’ multi-cam comedy Unrelated and recurring roles on ABC’s Promised Land and Fox’s 9-1-1.

Zumbado stars opposite Emile Hirsch and Stephen Dorff in the indie feature The Price We Pay.

Brewster has starred in the $6 billion plus grossing Fast & Furious franchise as Mia Torretto.

Amazon’s Prime Video has revealed the premiere date for Betty la Fea: The Story Continues, the sequel to the Colombian telenovela starring the 50-year-old Colombian actress that inspired ABC’s, Ugly Betty.

Betty la Fea: The Story Continues, will see Orozco reprise her role of Betty alongside Jorge Enrique Abello. Returning cast members include Julián Arango, Natalia Ramírez, Lorna Cepeda, Luces Velásquez, Marcela Posada, Mario Duarte, Julio Cesar Herrera, Ricardo Vélez, Alberto León Jaramillo and Estefanía Gómez.

Rodrigo Candamil, Juanita Molin, Zharick León and Sebastián Osorio join the cast.

Betty, la fea: The Story Continues is an RCN Estudios production for Prime Video and tells the story of Beatriz Pinzón Solano 20 years after the conclusion of the original show. While an empowered and wiser Betty works hard on rebuilding her relationship with her teenage daughter Mila, her relationship with Armando begins to deteriorate, making her question if she made the right decision 20 years ago.

Yo soy Betty, la Fea, created by Fernando Gaitán, has aired in 180 countries, dubbed into 15 languages, and has been adapted in up to 28 territories, including India, South Africa, and the U.S.

After the telenovela’s original run, Colombia’s RCN produced a sequel series in 2001 which ran for one season.

Ugly Betty, starring America Ferrera, was inspired by the Colombian telenovela and ran for four seasons on ABC.

Telemundo most recently produced its own version in 2019, titled Betty in NY and starred Elyfer Torres.

Néstor Carbonell to Star in Netflix’s First Original Medical Procedural “Pulse”

The 56-year-old Cuban American actor will star in Netflix’s first original medical procedural Pulse.

The drama series hails from first-time creator Zoe Robyn and veteran Carlton Cuse.

Pulse follows the staff of Miami’s busiest Level 1 Trauma Center as they navigate medical emergencies centering on young ER doc Danny Simms (Willa Fitzgerald) who is unexpectedly promoted to Chief Resident amidst the fallout of her own provocative romantic relationship.

In addition to Fitzgerald, Justina Machado, Colin Woodell, Jack Bannon, Jessie T. Usher, Chelsea Muirhead, Daniela Nieves and Jessy Yates also star.

Carbonell will play Dr. Ruben Soriano, a respected and sometimes feared senior surgeon. His commitment and passion have led him to prioritize his job above all else and he’s as demanding of his residents as he is of himself.

Segura will play Gabriel Moreno, an ER nurse who is a highly competent team player — but not always easy to impress.

Santos will play Nia Washington, a confident and scrappy Miami-Dade County EMT from a large, close-knit family.

Rothe will play Cass Himmelstein, a charismatic and charming senior ER nurse who knows what she wants for her life, and has a plan to get it.

Del Puerto will play Luis Dominguez, the ER’s Charge Nurse. He is unflappable amidst the ER chaos without sacrificing his signature wit and is beloved among his staff. All are recurring roles.

Robyn and Cuse serve as showrunners and executive producers. Bradley Garner, Emma Forman and Michael Klick also executive produce. Kate Dennis will serve as director and executive producer on Episodes 1 and 2.

The project reunites Carbonell and Cuse who worked together on the hit ABC series Lost. Carbonell is currently a series regular on Apple’s The Morning Show, and is recurring on the FX series Shogun. He can also be seen in feature films Bandit and Clawfoot. Prior, he starred as ‘Sheriff Alex Romero’ opposite Vera Farmiga and Freddie Highmore in the hit A&E series, Bates Motel. He is most often recognized for his portrayal of ‘Richard Alpert’ in Lost.

Segura can most recently be seen recurring on CW’s Walker: Independence. He is best known for his series regular role in Scream, as well as a recurring arc on Grey’s Anatomy and the thriller 47 Meters Down opposite Mandy Moore.

Santos’ breakthrough role was on the eighth season of FX’s American Horror Story. Additional credits include Netflix’s True Story, alongside Kevin Hart and Wesley Snipes, as well as Hulu’s biopic series, Mike, playing Mike Tyson’s wife, Kiki Spicer. She’s currently set to reprise her role of Coco in Season 3 of Mayor of Kingstown, as well as the upcoming romantic comedy for NetflixOur Little Secret. Her latest film, Half Baked 2, premiered on April 20.

Del Puerto is currently recurring on the Apple+ series For All Mankind as well as Killing It for Peacock. Previously, he starred in the HBO series Camping alongside Jennifer Garner, Juliette Lewis and David Tennant. On the film front, he played opposite Liam Hemsworth, Jeff Goldblum and Bill Pullman in Twentieth Century Fox’s Independence Day: Resurgence and the Universal Pictures feature Ride Along 2.

His debut airs Thursday, April 11 starting at 10:00 pm EDT in the fifth episode of the season titled “My Way” following Andy Herrera (Jaina Lee Ortiz) as she fearlessly leads her team during a life-or-death emergency at Seattle’s most beloved landmark.

Additionally, Vic (Barrett Doss) struggles with emotional burnout and Maya (Danielle Savre) helps Carina (Stefania Spampinato) navigate some difficult news.

Station 19, created by Stacy McKee, is set in Seattle and focuses on the lives of the men and women at Seattle Fire Station 19.

The series also stars Jason George, Grey Damon, Jay Hayden, Boris Kodjoe, Carlos Miranda, Josh Randall and Merle Dandridge.

McGee executive produces alongside Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers. The series is produced by Shondaland and ABC Signature.

This season kicked off with two new showrunners: Zoanne Clack and Peter Paige.

Sibilly was most recently seen as a series regular on Peacock’s Queer As Folk and as ‘Wilson the water cop’ in the Emmy Award-winning comedy series Hacks on Max. He also played Costas Perez in the groundbreaking drama Pose, created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Steven Canals; as well as Season 2 of the web series Liza On Demand.

In addition to his work in television, Sibilly is a fervent advocate for LGBTQ+ and Latinx rights.

ABC Renews Ramón Rodríguez’s Drama Series “Will Trent” for Third Season

ABC has renewed drama series Will Trent, starring the 44-year-old Puerto Rican actor, for a third season.

Ramón RodríguezBased on Karin Slaughter’s New York Times bestselling Will Trent books, the series follows the titular special agent of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation who was abandoned at birth and endured a harsh coming-of-age in Atlanta’s overwhelmed foster care system. Now, Will uses his unique point of view to pursue justice and has the highest clearance rate in the GBI.

Will Trent also stars Erika Christensen as Angie Polaski, Iantha Richardson as Faith Mitchell, Jake McLaughlin as Michael Ormewood and Sonja Sohn as Amanda Wagner.

Liz Heldens, Dan Thomsen, Slaughter, Oly Obst and Howard Deutch executive produce. Rodriguez serves as co-executive producer on Season 2.

The pilot episode was written by Heldens and Thomsen, and directed and executive produced by Paul McGuigan. The series is produced by 20th Television, a part of Disney Television Studios.

The show’s renewal isn’t surprising, given the series’ ratings success.

Season-to-date, Will Trent is a top performer across both linear and streaming, and is gaining ratings momentum among adults across all platforms, up each week since its second-season premiere on February 20.

The sophomore drama recently reached its highest rated episode ever on March 5, delivering 9.02 million total viewers in seven-day metrics. Since Season 1, the show has reached nearly 70 million total viewers across platforms.

Will Trent received an early Season 2 renewal last year on the heels of Season 1’s promising performance. The series led the ABC freshman pack as the No. 1 new drama in total viewers (9.9 million) and adults 18-49 (1.65 rating) after 35 days of viewing across linear and digital platforms.

Will Trent airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on ABC.

ABC has renewed 9-1-1, starring the 36-year-old half-Mexican American actor, for an eighth season.

The season seven premiere of 9-1-1 in March delivered a cumulative audience of 11.76 million total viewers within the first seven days, and marked the series’ highest-rated multi-platform telecast in nearly two years in Adults 18-49. It paid homage to the disaster thriller The Poseidon Adventure.

The drama stands as ABC’s most-watched current series across all platforms this season.

Based on the novel by Lauren Edmonson, the series follows the wife and adult daughters of a Senator as they navigate the treacherous balance of personal and public lives after the Senator dies in compromising circumstances.

Brandon Larracuente Returning to ABC’s Medical Drama “The Good Doctor”

Diaz will guest star as Man/Carl/Jesus. A mysterious man shows up to the hospital to donate his kidney to a complete stranger, but his reasoning causes Jordan to question his ability to give informed consent.

The 25-year-old Latina actress and Blue Beetle star has been cast in Reba McEntire in her as-yet-untitled NBC multi-cam comedy pilot.

Belissa Escobedo,The project is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.

The pilot follows Bobbie (McEntire) who inherits her father’s restaurant and is less than thrilled to discover that she has a new business partner in the half-sister she never knew she had.

Escobedo stars as Bobbie’s sister Isabella, an enthusiastic 20-something, who has studied psychology and loves to analyze people. She is thrilled to start working at the tavern and is full of “great” ideas about how to bring it to life.
