A.J. weighed in at 7 lbs. 10 oz., their rep confirmed to People magazine.

The Grammy-winning singer, who recently had her name legally changed to Fergie Duhamel, gave birth by Cesarean section at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. Other details have yet to be disclosed at this time.

Fergie’s Legal Name Change Request Granted

It’s official… Stacy Ann Ferguson’s days are over…

On Friday, a judge reportedly granted the 38-year-old part-Mexican American singer and Black Eyed Peas member’s request to officially change her name to Fergie Duhamel, according to TMZ.

Fergie

As previously reported, Fergie, who is married to actor Josh Duhamel, requested the change last month.

According to the documents she filed in L.A. County Superior Court, she wanted to “conform to the first name which she is commonly and professionally known as, and has been for many years.”

Before receiving approval, she was required to publish a notice in a local newspaper for four weeks. It’s the same process that Ron Artest, who currently plays for the New York Knicks, went through before becoming Metta World Peace two years ago.

The Duhamels got hitched in January 2009. The couple is expecting their first child together, a baby boy.

Fergie Releases “A Little Party Never Killed Nobody (All We Got)” Music Video

Sure, she may be pregnant with her first child… But Fergie still knows how to bring the party

The 38-year-old part-Mexican American singer and Black Eyed Peas member has released the official music video for “A Little Party Never Killed Nobody (All We Got),” her contribution to the Jay-Z executive-produced The Great Gatsby soundtrack album.

Director Fatima Robinson creatively hid the mom-to-be’s baby bump for the three-and-a-half-minute clip.

“Ready 4 #ALittleParty? Join me, @QtipTheAbstract & @GoonRock 4 #ALPNKN,” Fergie tweeted along with the link to the clip.

In a behind-the-scenes interview, she explained the concept for the video, that of “hosting the ultimate party,” depicted through a 1920s-themed event at the Emerson Theatre in Hollywood.

Fergie is seen getting glammed up for a night of partying before pulling up at the front of the club. She then first retreats to a comfortable sofa surrounded by dapper-looking men dressed in their black suits before she takes over the stage and the non-stop dancing ensues, the crowded dance floor filled with partygoers swaying to the electro-pop beats of the Goonrock-produced track.

Estefan to Appear on Winfrey’s OWN Series “Oprah’s Next Chapter”

Gloria Estefan is getting the Next Chapter treatment…

The 55-year-old Cuban singer-songwriter will take a seat next to Oprah Winfrey for an in-depth interview.

Gloria Estefan

Estefan will not only discuss her extraordinary career, a remarkable life that she’s developing into a Broadway show with husband Emilio Estefan; she’s also set to talk about the many musical paths she’s helped pave for other stars.

The seven-time Grammy winner is the latest musician to join Winfrey on her OWN show Oprah’s Next Chapter, following high profile chats with the likes of Justin Bieber, Usher, Rihanna and Fergie.

In the episode airing on August 4 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT, Estefan talks about how she guided the careers of Ricky Martin, Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony and Shakira, among others. In one part, Estefan tells Oprah how she fought label execs to release Shakira’s first English-language album, a record that went on establish the Colombian singer as a global star.

“They wanted her just to throw a couple of songs in English on a Latin record and I fought hard. I said, ‘Listen. This is her shot. You can’t do it halfway, you know’?” Estefan says. “An American audience is not gonna get a record that’s mostly Spanish because there’s a couple of English cuts on it. They’re gonna want to hear the whole thing. This is gonna work. I fought hard for her. Fought hard. And she sold like 13 million of that album.”

Estefan and Oprah sit down for a Cuban-style lunch at the singer’s home in Vero Beach, Florida, where they chat about Estefan’s upbringing as a Cuban exile, her rise into the mainstream, and that shocking bus crash in the 1990s that almost left her paralyzed.

Estefan, the Latin music industry’s premier female artist, has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide. She’s also in charge of a string of enterprises and a minor stake in the Miami Dolphins NFL team.

Sales of Fergie’s Latest Wet n Wild Product to Benefit amfAR

Fergie isn’t just a “Glamorous” songstress… She’s also a socially conscious entertainer who is (wet n) wild about giving back to the community.

The 37-year-old part-Mexican singer and Black Eyed Peas member, who recently announced she’s expecting her first child with husband Josh Duhamel, launched the new lip colour she developed with Wet n Wild this week, adding that she’s added a charitable component to her cosmetics line.

Fergie

Called Perfect Pout V.I. Pink, the shimmery pink shade will benefit the American Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR) with 50 cents from each $3.49 product benefitting the cause.

“For me, it was really important to have a charitable component to my cosmetics line,” Fergie told WWD. “I did the MAC Viva Glam campaign [in 2008], and I was very inspired by the cause and motivated to do something myself. Wet n Wild has been amazing, and we’ve really pushed this forward and embraced it with open arms.”

To coincide with the product launch, Fergie invited her Twitter followers to Times Square in New York City this week. During the event the singer helped make over three Good Morning America viewers.

The singer used the cosmetics from her CenterStage colour collection to transform the selected members of the public.

“We really wanted to include social media with this,” Fergie said. “ [This cause is] very close to my heart.”

Fergie was named beauty ambassador for the American cosmetics company last year.

In addition to her make-up line, Fergie has been keeping busy working on her fragrances with Avon. Her latest scent for the brand is Viva, which she described as “very fresh, clean and crisp”.

She plans to branch into more product categories in the future, but says her immediate priority is preparing for her new arrival.

“I have my hands and plate full now,” Fergie laughed. “Being pregnant, it’s great to do a lot of work from home. I do it being comfortable and not worrying about hair and make-up. As far as what I’m going to do when the child comes? I have no idea what I’m going to tell you.”

The Safe Haven actor shared the same message via his Twitter and Facebook accounts.

The couple, who married in January 2009, spoke about their desire to start a family during an October 2012 appearance on Oprah’s Next Chapter. Though Duhamel said he hoped to one day have five children, Fergie lowered his expectations. “We negotiated that early on,” said Fergie. “Two is our number.”

Duhamel, 40, added that because he and Fergie “grew up in very similar ways,” they’re on the same page when it comes to raising children.

“My mother was a teacher. Both of her parents were teachers. We both had to work for what we got. We’re both Catholic,” he explained. “There were a lot of things that were really compatible between us. But at the end of the day, she’s just an amazing girl.”

No word on a due date yet.

Acosta Earns Golden Ticket with Mariachi Song on “American Idol”

Much like Julio Cesar Castillo impressed the coaches on The Voice with his mariachi audition, Victoria Acosta has earned raves from American Idol’s judges for her second-chance mariachi song.

During her audition for the Fox reality singing competition, the mariachi singer and San Antonio native performed Fergie’s smash hit “Big Girls Don’t Cry.” Even though she impressed the judges, it wasn’t until Randy Jackson asked her to perform a mariachi song that Acosta moved the judges to send her to Hollywood.

Victoria Acosta

“The reason why I wanted you to do that is because you see the connection there, that’s the connection you need to have,” Jackson said as all of the other judges, Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj and Keith Urban concurred.

Acosta, who started singing mariachi music when she was 6, said she was excited about the opportunity.

“Getting this golden ticket means I get to represent San Antonio and I am really excited to go to Hollywood,” said Acosta, adding that one of the main reasons why she loves performing is because she gets tourists “involved in the culture.”

“They can say, ‘Hey this is a modern city [San Antonio]’ but we still need connect to our historical roots,” she said.
