J.C. Chandor is directing the film with Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach producing. Art Marcum and Matt Holloway and Richard Wenk penned the screenplay.

One of Sony Pictures’ universe of Marvel characters, Kraven is among Marvel’s most iconic and notorious antiheroes who has encountered Venom and Black Panther among many others as well as being one of Spider-Man’s best-known and most-formidable enemies. The film will be released theatrically January 13, 2023.

Sony is coming off a hot streak, with Spider-Man: No Way Home becoming the biggest film of 2021 with $1.8 billion in worldwide sales after Venom: Let There Be Carnage made more than $500 million worldwide. As for future films, the Jared Leto-starrer Morbius bows in the U.S. in April, and the studio just named Dakota Johnson to lead Madame Web.

DeBose’s stock has been skyrocketing following her scene-stealing role as Anita in Steven Spielberg’s Oscar-nominated West Side Story adaptation. Besides taking home the SAG Award for Supporting Actress, DeBose also has Oscars, BAFTA and Critics Choice nominations in the same category.

She’ll next appear in Matthew Vaughn’s action film Argylle from Apple, starring opposite Henry Cavill, Bryan Cranston, Samuel L. Jackson and Dua Lipa, and will also star in Gabriela Cowperthwaite’s space thriller I.S.S. alongside Chris Messina and Pilou Asbaek.

Participant Media Releases Trailer for Isaac’s Thriller “A Most Violent Year”

Oscar Isaac’s most violent role could finally earn him an Academy Award nomination…

Participant Media has released the trailer for the 35-year-old Guatemalan and Cuban American actor’s latest film “A Most Violent Year.”

A Most Violent Year

Isaac and Jessica Chastain star in the film, which was written and directed by J.C. Chandor (All is Lost).

“A Most Violent Year” is set in New York City during the winter of 1981 — one of the most violent years in the city’s history. The film follows the lives of an immigrant family trying to expand their business and capitalize on opportunities amid violence, decay and corruption.

A24 has given an awards-season release date of December 31 for the thriller.

It will open in Los Angeles and New York on New Year’s Eve before expanding during January.

Oscar Isaac will experience a most violent year

The 34-year-old Guatemalan/Cuban actor will star alongside Alessandro Nivola, Jessica Chastain and Albert Brooks in J.C. Chandor’s thriller A Most Violent Year.

Oscar Isaac

From Participant Films and Image Nation Abu Dhabi, the thriller is set during the winter of 1981 in New York — one of the most violent years on record in the city’s history.

The story “follows the lives of an immigrant and his family trying to expand their business and capitalize on opportunities as the rampant violence, decay and corruption of the day drag them in and threaten to destroy all they have built.”

A Most Violent Year, written and directed by Chandor, will be distributed by A24 in North America.

A24 acquired the rights at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year.

Bardem Lands Roles in “A Most Violent Year” and “The Gunman”

Javier Bardem has landed two killer roles…

The 44-year-old Spanish actor will star in J.C. Chandor’s next film, A Most Violent Year, which will shoot in Manhattan this fall.

Javier Bardem

Unlike his critically acclaimed roles in No Country for Old Men and Skyfall, Bardem will play a good guy in the film.

A Most Violent Year was written by Chandor.

Meanwhile, Bardem has also signed on to go mano a mano with Sean Penn in The Gunman.

The film is being directed by Pierre Morel and financed by Studio Canal.

Bardem excels in these types of films, winning the Oscar for No Country For Old Men, and most recently playing the existentially tortured villain who squared off against James Bond in Skyfall.

He’ll next be seen in the Ridley Scott-directed The Counselor, opposite Michael Fassbender, Brad Pitt, Cameron Diaz and his wife Penelope Cruz.
