Sanchez Preparing to Release Debut Single in February…

Last year’s American Idol runner-up Jessica Sanchez is preparing to release her debut single next month…

“I’ve been working on my album since the Idol tour and I just finished it up,” the pint-sized singer announced recently, saying she’s getting ready to release her debut single this February.

Sanchez’s first single is reportedly a duet with R&B crooner Ne-Yo, who is also one of the producers/songwriters who worked on her upcoming album.

When asked about the long time it has taken to release her debut album, Sanchez told MTV News, “I wanted to make it perfect for the fans. I’ve worked in the studio before, but going to that next level with such high producers? It was crazy … working with Ne-Yo. Everything was such a blur and I was just a fan girl the whole time.”

Despite the long wait since the end of the 11th season of Idol last summer, fans will soon get to hear the 16 tracks that Sanchez has recorded with song masters Toby Gad (One Direction, Kelly Clarkson), Harvey Mason Jr. (Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake) and Rykeyz (Wiz Khalifa, Fantasia Barrino).

“It’s me, soulful, but more dancey,” Sanchez said of her work. “It’s all completely me,” she said of her upbeat, mainstream pop disc with an R&B edge. “And I’m excited about all of it.”

In the meantime, Sanchez’s fans will get a chance to see her in her upcoming recurring role on Fox’s Glee.

Noelia to Release Two Singles From Her First English-Language Album

In her quest to break into the English-language market, Noelia is preparing to release two singles in the near future…

The 32-year-old Puerto Rican singer/songwriter will release two singles to radio simultaneously from the English-language album she’s been working on with music producer/singer Timbaland and composer Sean Garrett.

Noelia

Noelia plans to release the single “Exploit” in the United States  “Spell” in Europe in three weeks.

“This production makes my greatest dreams come true,” says Noelia about her eighth disc, her first in English. “it’s a joy and an immense achievement that I’ve been praying to heaven for so much.”

The album, which is still untitled, will feature a wide range of musical styles, including pop songs and ballads.

“Up to now we have recorded seven songs and he (Timbaland) wants to keep working,” said “Kiss Me” singer.

Once the recording is wrapped, Noelia and Timbaland are planning a promotional tour of Latin America, Europe and the United States this summer.

The idea of a collaboration with Timbaland, who has worked with Justin Timberlake and Madonna, quickly evolved after he ran into Noelia in the hallways of the studio where she was recording “Kiss Me.”

“We started out recording a single, and that was the beginning of a close friendship and we kept working until we made an album and finally we’re now going on tour together. It’s been an amazing experience,” the daughter of singer Yolandita Monge recalled.

Noelia’s already finding success with “Kiss Me,” which is sung in Spanglish and features Baby Boy.

“It’s a song he did awhile back. I changed the lyrics and it’s doing really well on radio in Mexico, Puerto Rico, the United States and South America,” she said.

Timbaland, meanwhile, says English-speaking audiences will be pleased with Noelia’s latest studio effort.

Her “excellent taste in rhythms and magical charm of the voice pierce the surface,” and this album will bring the public a Noelia it has never heard before, he says.
