The upbeat track is part of the Fate of the Furious soundtrack, which features other artists including Migos, Wiz Khalifa and Young Thug.

The Spanish version of “Hey Ma” debuted at No. 5 on Billboards Hot Latin Songs (chart dated April 1) — Cabello’s first hit on the chart and Pit’s highest debut ever. And Balvin matched the debut of “Ginza,” which arrived at No. 5 in 2015.

The music video was shot in the colorful and historical street of Española Way in Miami. The clip includes scenes from the eight installation of the Fast and the Furious franchise set to bow in theaters April 14.

Mars’ “24K Magic” Debuts at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart

Bruno Mars is bringing Magic to the charts…

The 31-year-old part-Puerto Rican singer-songwriter’s new single “24K Magic” debuts at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 (dated Oct. 29), his highest debut ever on the chart.

Bruno Mars

Of his 19 entries so far (dating to his 2010 arrival), he had previously bowed as high as No. 10, as a featured act on Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa‘s “Young, Wild & Free” (October 29, 2011). As a lead artist, he had debuted at a No. 28 high with “It Will Rain” (October 15, 2011).

It’s Mars’ 13th Hot 100 Top 10 on the Hot 100, which blends sales, airplay and streaming data.

Additionaly, “24K Magic” begins at No. 2 on the Digital Song Sales chart with 101,000 first-week downloads sold, No. 9 on Streaming Songs (12.8 million), and vaults 36-15 on Radio Songs (65 million) following its first full week of airplay tracking.

It should benefit on next week’s charts following Mars’ performance of the song on NBC‘s Saturday Night Live on October 15.

“24K Magic” was released on October 7 on digital and streaming services, and is the title track from the pop star’s third full-length, due November 18.

Notably, the lead singles from Mars’ first two studio sets both hit No. 1 on the Hot 100: “Just the Way You Are,” from Doo-Wops & Hooligans, for four weeks in 2010, and “Locked Out of Heaven,” from Unorthodox Jukebox, for six weeks in 2012-13. The songs debuted at Nos. 43 and 34, respectively.

Swizz Beatz Hosting Three-Day Art & Concert Series at Art Basel Miami Beach

Swizz Beatz is bringing a mix of art and music to Art Basel Miami Beach this year.

The 37-year-old half-Puerto Rican hip-hop artist and record producer is collaborating with Bacardi for a three-day art and concert series at North America’s foremost international modern and contemporary art fair next month to showcase up-and-coming artists — both visual and musical — on a platform that will also feature performances from Alicia Keys, Pusha T, A-Trak, DMX and Wiz Khalifa, among others.

Swizz Beatz

The collaboration, called Casa Bacardi at Wynwood, will be curated by Beatz’s The Dean Collection and encompass two separate yet connected events.

The first, running from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Dec. 3-5, is a No Commission Art Fair, where artists will be allowed to showcase their work for free and take home 100 percent of their proceeds, a departure from the industry standard where galleries both take a percentage of profits and charge for booth space.

The second, running from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m. each night, is the Bacardi Untameable House Party, a concert series with both established and emerging musicians and DJs.

“It’s by the artist, for the artist, with the people,” Swizz tells Billboard. “And I think a lot of people forgot the message of why they’re even going down to Basel. You’re going down to Basel because there are amazing, creative artists who took a lot of time out of their lives to put together some masterpieces and hope for entry in a great collection or for somebody to be inspired. And not taking anything away from Basel or from the galleries, but I just chose to do something different. And I think the world needs more powerful collaborations that are willing to push the envelope and not really follow the necessary rules that are laid out.”

Swizz’s connection to the art world goes beyond his own Dean Collection; he also joined the board of the Brooklyn Museum in October and has been curating at Basel for years.

“This is something that just has to happen,” he says. “Because if we’re not pushing the envelope, then who do we expect to do it? I think the most important part of the message is the give back factor. And the other part of the give back factor is having a brand like Bacardi supporting that. There’s no punch line, there’s no catch. This is a genuine thing.”

The No Commission Art Fair will be free and open to the public, while each night’s House Party will be free via RSVP.

“We totally connected on the need to help fuel the hustle and provide artists with a stage to showcase their passions,” says Zara Mirza, head of creative excellence at Bacardi. “Bacardi has a deep heritage in music and the arts, from Prohibition parties in Havana, Cuba in the 1920s to some of our more modern partnerships like the Untameable Artist Series.”

Mars & Mark Ronson’s “Uptown Funk” 2015’s Top-Selling Digital Single So Far

Bruno Mars is the leader of the pack in 2015…

Nielsen Music has released its 2015 mid-year music charts with the 29-year-old part-Puerto Rican singer-songwriter’s collaboration with Mark Ronson, “Uptown Funk,” the top-selling digital single.

Bruno Mars

Mars and Ronson’s ultra-catchy track claimed the top spot, with 4.89 million downloads. However, that number pales in comparison to the amount of times the single has been streamed: Combined audio and video streams of “Uptown Funk” have nearly reached the 368 million mark.

The track was also been a favorite among radio programmers, racking up 646,000 plays in 2015 so far.

Since the beginning of 2015, audio streaming is up 74 percent compared to the same period in 2014, while video streaming has grown an eye-popping 109 percent. From December 29th to June 28th, over 135 billion songs were streamed, the Nielsen report states.

Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud” came in second place with 3.45 million downloads, and Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth’s “See You Again” (from “Furious 7″) finished at No. 3 with 3.07 million downloads so far this year.
